Scheana Shay is changing her tune about her recent drama with Katie Maloney on Vanderpump Rules. The stars became enemies after Scheana interviewed Katie’s ex-husband Tom Schwartz on a podcast and encouraged him to date castmate Raquel Leviss.
According to Scheana, Katie indicated in a previous conversation that Tom should date Raquel. Because of this, Scheana encouraged the potential romance, and she was confused when Katie called her a “troll.”
On her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana expressed that “a little piece of [her] heart” broke for Katie while watching back the latest episode because Katie was “going through a divorce and a heartbreak,” despite her “strong” and “happy” front.
“I took that very literal from one conversation, and I would say that’s one of my regrets this season, and I will have an apology for her at the reunion next week,” said Scheana.
Scheana also reacted to a fan asking why she couldn’t empathize with Katie from the start of her divorce.
“There were two people going thru the divorce here,” wrote Scheana on Instagram, shared by @cici.loves.you. “I just happened to be there more for Schwartz then [because] I felt like he needed more support at the time.”

In a separate comment, she said Katie’s “name calling … took me back to a place where she’s bullied me over the years and I checked out in that moment.”
Scheana revealed that, after the podcast interview, she sent Katie “a very long txt apologizing and explaining and never got a response.”
