Carl Radke suggested there was an “effort” to depict him and Lindsay Hubbard in a “love bubble” on season seven. Last year, the stars went public with their relationship – and soon after became engaged.
Carl also addressed his drama with bestie Kyle Cooke, said he’s “embarrassed and ashamed” of his own past behavior, and discussed his “frustrations” from earlier in the season.
Speaking on the BravBros podcast, Carl alluded to fans’ perceptions of his current storyline. Recently, many viewers have called him out for going to bed early and refusing to party with the group.
He admitted it’s “a little different” to watch “people in relationships,” and he indicated it’s “hard” this season because the “focus” is on “Lindsay and I.”
Carl suggested, however, that certain scenes weren’t shown in the final edit.
“The crazy part is I have videos of us staying up late and partying,” he said. “[One night] we were up till two in the morning in the kitchen dancing and going crazy. Now yeah I don’t drink, but there was I feel like an effort to not show some of that … [as if] Carl and Lindsey are in this honeymoon love bubble.”
Addressing his drama with Kyle – who recently pointed out Carl’s previous addiction struggles – Carl expressed, “Obviously Kyle mentioned some of my challenges this season, and again I’m embarrassed and ashamed of my behavior from the past.”
He then alluded to his own behavior toward Kyle. “What I think you’re seeing at the beginning of the season is, you know, I just had some frustrations that I am not proud of or happy about how I ultimately handled,” he explained. “I could have probably broached some things better with Kyle before the summer started … You know, it’s hard working with friends.”
Season seven of Summer House is currently airing Monday nights at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
