The Real Housewives of New York: Legacy is reportedly back on the table after contract negotiations previously stalled the project. This time around, however, the plan is to film in the style of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip with controversial castmate Ramona Singer.
The project initially fell through after Jill Zarin purportedly demanded a higher salary that was equal to her costars who were on the show for many more seasons.
According to a source speaking to Page Six, the network is attempting to make Legacy in a shorter version, via the style of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip – and they want Ramona.
The insiders claimed the show is planning to be filmed in a shorter timeframe, just as RHUGT films only for a few days.
Sources explained, however, that the cast will feature only the stars of RHONY. The outlet reported that Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps, Dorinda Medley, and Kelly Bensimon have received offers to join – and Jill has not.
The contracts have reportedly been sent out, though it’s unknown who will sign.
According to the insiders, Ramona – who previously said she did not want to join Legacy – has potentially changed her mind.
Last November, the star told the outlet: “I do not want to do the show any longer. It’s not for me at this time.”
Real Housewives of New York: Legacy would air either on either Bravo or Peacock.
