Danielle Cabral opened up about her feud with Jackie Goldschneider, shared why she believes it occurred, and addressed her strained relationship with her brother.

The 37-year-old is a newbie castmate on Real Housewives of New Jersey, and many fans believe Jackie’s crusade against her was triggered by Jackie’s own demotion in the cast.

In an interview for HollywoodLife’s Pay Attention Puh-Lease! podcast, Danielle addressed her saga with Jackie.

“[Jackie] was gunning for me from when I didn’t invite her to my party,” said the castmate, alluding to her mozzarella-making party, to which Jackie wasn’t invited (after she gave Danielle a strange look). “So, it makes sense. She had it out for me. She couldn’t get over that.”

“And even if I said a million times, ‘Hey, you made me feel a certain way,’ it [Jackie’s response] was never, ‘Well I’m sorry I made you feel that way! It was, ‘Well I’m gonna make you feel like shit now every time I see you,’” she added.

Danielle does not, however, believe Jackie’s demotion was the cause of the feud. The star explained that she, Jackie, and Rachel Fuda were not aware of their status at the beginning of the season.

“I wasn’t full-time. None of us were,” said Danielle. “I didn’t know I was full-time until midseason. We were told everybody has a spot. So there was no competition. Which maybe helped, because if there was a competition, maybe it would have been even dirtier.”

She went on, “But I think what it came down to… Jackie apparently is very educated. Jackie was a lawyer. Jackie is very different than me. So here I was, this fun, bubbly, I don’t know how to spell different words, I’m just having a good time. And I think she hated everything about me from the get-go. I think it was like, ‘This is who is gonna join our friend group? This?’ Instead of like, ‘Oh my god, I love this girl, she’s so much fun. We’re no competition, cause we’re nothing alike.’ I think she had a problem with that from the beginning.”

Addressing the cast’s decision to question Danielle’s story about her brother – with whom she’s no longer speaking – Danielle said, “I think they come from a world where more s**t exists under the surface from what people are saying. So they’re gonna lump me into that … They’re gonna be like, ‘That’s definitely not the case. She definitely did something. It’s gonna come out in the news. And we’re gonna bring it out.’ Because that’s what they’re used to. They’re not used to somebody just authentically telling the truth.”

More specifically, she discussed the situation with her brother: “What people don’t understand is before this happened, we had an extremely close family … Sunday dinners every Sunday. He’s the god father to both of my children.”

“We were extremely close,” Danielle continued. “So my life is a new life for me. I’m almost three years into a new life. I had 34 years of living gone. So it’s a thing that’s living every single day and I feel every single day.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
