Marlo Hampton shaded certain castmates’ parenting, claiming they’re “hardly with their kids” and have “full-time nannies.”
In particular, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star dissed Kandi Burruss, saying she can’t “spend quality time” with her kids because she’s “too busy” trying to “get another bag.”
On the last season of RHOA, many of Marlo’s co-stars slammed her decision to take a break from her nephews, who have lived with Marlo for a while now.
Speaking on the Juicy Scoop podcast, shared by @reality_chat on Twitter, Marlo addressed her castmates’ parenting methods while reacting to how she was treated last season.
“I felt that that was awful. I felt some of the girls knew exactly what I meant. They’re moms, and I know for sure a lot of them are never hardly with their kids,” said Marlo. “They have full-time nannies.”
After expressing that every parent sometimes needs a break, Marlo wondered if castmates would have been more supportive had she worded her issues in a different way.
“Well, I never know when it comes to this group of girls,” she said. “If I would have phrased it right, they probably still would have [gone at] me.”
When host Heather McDonald recalled Kandi shading Marlo’s break, the castmate responded, “You never see [Kandi] with her kids 24/7. She always paid — she has a whole slew of family that helps her.”
Marlo added, “So it’s coming from Kandi, [which] didn’t mean that much to me, not unless I saw her with her children every day.”
“I mean, she’s too busy trying to get another bag,” the star continued. “She doesn’t have time to spend quality time with her kids.”
