Kate Chastain is addressing the rumor that her newborn was fathered by Chef Ben Robinson – her former co-star on Below Deck.
The 40-year-old alum, who just gave birth to a son, hooked up with Ben between seasons two and three of the popular show.

In a May 8 tweet, Kate called attention to the rumors swirling around her child’s paternity.
“For the record, the only thing this handsome guy has in common with any chef is the tendency to get emotional around meal times,” said Kate, via Page Six.

Some fans begged to differ, claiming over the weekend that the son and chef were suspiciously similar in appearance.
“Why does the baby look like a mini chef Ben,” said a fan on Instagram. A different user called him “100000% bens kid.”
Another expressed, “Tell me Ben’s the dad without telling me Ben’s the dad ????.”
According to the outlet, Ben has neither confirmed nor denied the rumor.
When Kate revealed her pregnancy in late 2022, the star told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she’s planning on parenting alone.
“I’m happy to do it alone,” she said. “I think being a chief stew really trained me for it.”
After Chef Ben learned of the pregnancy, he joked about being “the same weight” as his former flame.
“But to be fair I have been hitting the gym!” he said on Instagram. “Please wish my great friend an easy delivery and a healthy beautiful baby! I am so proud of who you have become and the mother you will soon be.”
