The divorce between Kim Zolciak, 44, and Kroy Biermann, 37, continues to rage on as it’s been reported that Kim served Kroy with divorce papers in front of their Alpharetta, Georgia mansion on May 13th.
The process server who served Kroy the papers recently spoke with media outlet, Radar Online, and described the interaction he had with the former professional football player.
The server said he drove up to the Don’t Be Tardy star’s home, where Kroy was already outside in gray pajamas with an “extremely large bulldog sitting next to him.” When Kroy asked why the gentleman was parked outside his home, the server said he was there to “serve a Kroy Biermann.”
The server explained that his estranged wife, Kim, had filed for divorce. “He took the papers from me and told me, ‘Ok bye,’ turned his back on me, and walked away. He did not give me the opportunity to explain anything to him, and he was on the phone talking the whole time,” the server said.
As previously reported, The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum and Kroy filed separate divorce papers on May 8th. They both are requesting sole custody of their four minor children: Kroy, 11 Kash, 10 and twins Kaia and Kane, 9.
In addition, Kim and Kroy are both asking each other to provide spousal support to the other. This all comes on the heels of reports that Kim has accused Kroy of marijuana use and is demanding he is drug-tested out of safety for their children.
In conjunction with the divorce, the couple also faces two tax liens and reportedly owes the IRS upwards of $1.1 million in unpaid taxes, fees, and penalties.
“Kim and Kroy insist they both want the kids. The main problem is money,” according to a source at PEOPLE. “The pressure of the bills just keeps getting worse. And it causes non-stop fighting because Kim refuses to change her lifestyle, even though she knows she has no money to spend.”
Kim and Kroy are currently living under the same roof in their marital home but are actively “avoiding each other.”
Although Kim is not currently dating, she “has expressed to friends she is ready to move on and wants to find a man willing to finally pull his weight,” the source continued.
Meanwhile, the source alleges that Kroy is still in contact with his two adult adopted daughters, Brielle Biermann, 26, and Ariana Biermann, 21, despite Brielle unfollowing him on social media.
“All the kids are still in contact with Kroy,” the source told the outlet. “There is no drama between Brielle, Ariana, and Kroy yet. They want to have a relationship with him, and Kim supports that.”
“Divorce is terrible, but the kids are going to have to go through this in a very public manner,” the source concluded.
