Phaedra Parks revealed where she stands with Sheree Whitfield and other castmates after lying to them on The Traitors, addressed Kate Chastain getting “weird,” and discussed being in “excruciating pain” during filming.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star – who had to betray the cast as a ‘Traitor’ – also shaded “dirty” Dan Gheesling, and she claimed Peter Weber treated the castle like The Bachelor.
“[Kate got] personal. Yeah, it was a little weird,” said Phaedra of her fellow traitor’s insults before the banishment in an interview with Extra. “At the end, I think she wanted me to turn on Sandra, and I’m very loyal, and when I took the oath I was going to play the game fair.”
Phaedra also revealed she tore her meniscus and was in “excruciating pain” for about five of the challenges. When she returned to the U.S., she had to get a “procedure on [her] knee.”
“So I was in it 100%. But Kate, you know, people game differently,” she said. “[But] I wasn’t going to turn on someone because I wanted to save myself. I just didn’t think that was fair. And I didn’t want to turn on Kate like Dan did on me. So, you know, some of us have morals.”
Phaedra claimed Dan did “the minimal” on the show.
“Besides calling me out, he didn’t do much else,” said Phaedra. “[And later] every round table I’m fighting because of what Dirty Dan did … Had he not done that, I would have probably had an easier ride.”
She also addressed her relationship with C.T. Tamburello, which fans adored.
“Oh man, I would love to work with C.T. again. He is just salt of the earth, a great guy. Just a gentleman, you know alpha male,” she said.
Despite Sheree’s apparent disgust after finding out Phaedra was a traitor, Phaedra claimed Sheree didn’t take it personally.
“It is a game,” she said. “And to be a traitor, you know, you have to stay true to the oath … [Sheree] and I are even closer now than we’ve ever been because of this game, because we’ve really seen each other come around full circle … It’s really strengthened our relationship as friends.”
Phaedra said she would have wanted her Bravo “family” members Mercedes “MJ” Javid or Sheree to win, but she called out C.T. for playing the “best game.”
Despite her drama with Peter, Phaedra said she “love[s]” him, and “went crazy” when she first saw him on the show.
“[But] he was trying to run that castle like it was The Bachelor,” said Phaedra. “These private meetings, [saying] ‘I’ll have a conversation with you. I’ll take a meeting with you. I won’t look at you.’ I mean it was just crazy. He thought he was back on ABC.”
She also hinted there was a bit of a romance between Peter and castmate Ekin-Su.
“They definitely had a chemistry,” said Phaedra. “They should be doing the romcom, honey.”
Addressing the reunion, Phaedra claimed they “tried not to go Housewivey,” but the “Bravo girls are going to be Bravo-licious.”
