An eagle-eyed fan spotted Kim Richards’ name on a sign at the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion – sparking rumors that she was supposed to attend with her sister Kathy Hilton.
Kim appeared in several episodes throughout the season, though it was Kathy (who wasn’t in a single scene) who surprised castmates at the reunion couch.
In a screenshot of a reunion scene shared by @kbbranson on Reddit, Kim’s name was posted on a sign of a trailer next to Kathy’s. It’s only shown for a small moment as Kathy exited her own trailer.
Fans are now wondering if Kim was supposed to attend the reunion but didn’t show up. Others wonder if she was there with Kathy behind the scenes, but she didn’t come out to film.
In the comments, one viewer joked, “Kathy probably locked Kim in the trailer and she couldn’t get out.”
“Wow, interesting! Good spot,” praised another. “Would have made sense for Kim to be there since she was friend of. Perhaps Kathy stepped in last minute? Would also explain her outfit repeat.”
“You just solved the mystery of why Kathy was there that fans have been asking all month. I hope Kim is doing well,” wrote a third fan.
“They should’ve brought her on, maybe the reunion wouldn’t have been such a flop,” a Redditor added.
Another fan speculated that it was a production tactic.
“I wonder if they were trying to throw the other women off – they didn’t seem to know Kathy was there until right before she came on and Andy admitted it. Maybe trying to avoid anyone backing out or getting riled up too early on?” asked the user.
A different fan brought up Crystal Kung Minkoff‘s claim that Dorit Kemsley showed up late to the set – an allegation that Dorit denies.
“Now I am beginning to wonder if Dorit was a distraction while they were waiting for Kim to show up or go on camera,” wrote the viewer.
