Jax Taylor said he “hate[s]” Katie Maloney with a “passion” after the Vanderpump Rules star shaded Jax on Watch What Happens Live. Now starring on The Valley, Jax claims his new bar is the only thing keeping him and his estranged wife Brittany Cartwright together.
In the shady WWHL interview, Katie praised Brittany for leaving him, and she declared she doesn’t “like” Jax in any capacity. Katie also said Jax is to blame for why her friendship with Brittany is now “strained.”
“No, Katie and I don’t like each other at all,” Jax clapped back in a recent video shared by @thebravobabe_ on X.
“I hate her with a passion,” he went on. “She’s the most miserable human being ever.”

Speaking with The Daily Dish, Jax also addressed where he stands with Brittany today.
“We’re separated,” he said. “That’s pretty much all I just want to say. I don’t really want to talk about my relationship, again, because it’s not a publicity stunt so if I talk about it, then it looks like a publicity stunt in my eyes, so you know it’s something personal.”
“I just hope people that can respect that and just understand that, you know, I’m like anybody else,” he went on. “Marriage is tough. It can be tough at times, and you know, I’m working on myself.”
“I feel like I’m always a kind of a work in progress,” he explained. “It’s just kind of who I am and I’m very aware of that and I’m … doing everything I can to better myself, but you know we’ll see what happens.”
Jax then discussed his and Brittany’s second “baby” – their new bar.
“It’s actually the one thing that’s been really great in Brittany and I’s life right now,” he said of Jax’s Studio City. “It’s the one thing that’s keeping us really strong … It’s actually the thing that[‘s] keeping us together … We both have a great time with it. We both love it. It’s our baby. Everyone loves coming to the bar.”
Comparing the bar to Schwartz & Sandy’s, Jax said it’s “way more laid back” and “a lot friendlier on the wallet.”
“It’s just a really cool bar and that’s every guy’s dream to own a bar … It’s like hitting the lottery,” he explained.
Concerning his stint on House of Villains, Jax claimed he failed to watch other gameshows like Big Brother or The Challenge as preparation.
“I didn’t listen to [this advice from] my manager, publicist at all when I went into House of Villains,” he shared. “I tried to muscle my way through it and that’s the thing you don’t do on these types of shows.”
“I thought, you know what, I’m a strong, athletic guy,” he explained. “I’m gonna bully my way through it. Obviously, that didn’t work, actually worked against me.”
Despite this, Jax said he’s willing to join the next season of The Traitors.
“I’m open to anything really, you know, I love doing all this,” he said of reality television. “I’m just so excited to be back. I’m so humbled and honored that NBC and Bravo are giving me another chance at life and I’m just so grateful and I just — it’s a blessing and so whatever anybody wants me to do I’m open. I consider this like my extended family, so whatever they need, I’m there.”
