Sonja Morgan finally sold her famous townhouse at auction for $4.45 million — less than half of what she paid for it.

In 1998, Sonja bought the house for $9.1 million with her then-husband John Morgan, the heir of J.P. Morgan. Fifteen years later – after their divorce – Sonja listed it for $9.95 million.

In 2018, the Real Housewives of New York star attempted to rent it at $32,000 a month. For years, Sonja attempted on and off to sell the home, but she couldn’t get a buyer. She lowered the price in 2015 to $7.2, and she decided to rent it when there weren’t any takers.

But after a recent online auction, Sonja sold her famous townhouse for $4.45 million, per Page Six.

The auction concluded on Wednesday as the home went to the highest bidder.

Last year, Sonja renovated the house before relisting it at $8.75. It eventually was lowered to $7.5. The home is $4,650 square feet, and it has five bedrooms and five-and-a-half baths, and it features a solarium that gives way to a private garden with a koi pond.

“Many memories were made [at my townhouse] over the years, including hosting my daughter’s friends from boarding school and university, and so many noteworthy moments were filmed by NBC for Bravo and Peacock TV,” said Sonja in April to The New York Post. “This townhouse has been our cherished home for decades … In addition to raising my daughter here, we entertained heads of state, royalty, luminaries and Fortune 500 CEOs.”

“Now, as an empty nester, I am ready to share this turnkey, easy-to-manage jewel over to someone new to enjoy as we did,” she added.

The house was showcased on Real Housewives of New York before the series was put on ‘pause.’ The network eventually decided to recast it completely, and it now consists of new stars, many of whom were unknown before joining.

Though Sonja never filmed with her daughter, she often had scenes with various ‘interns’ in the house, though it was unclear what exactly she was teaching them. Now, it seems definite that Bravo won’t return to the home.
