The drama with Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein and her estranged husband, Lenny Hochstein, continues. They have been battling it out over their divorce as they both have filed seemingly petty motions that have prolonged the situation. Now, once again, he has accused Lisa of taking items from the marital home that she had no need for and no right to.
Lisa and Lenny have been married since 2009. Unfortunately, the couple announced their split in May 2022 after he was seen with another woman. She has also since moved on, but it seems neither wants to compromise on who gets what.
One topic of contention has been over moving expenses as Lisa wanted Lenny to reimburse her for moving into her new digs — Lenny also splits the cost of this place with Lisa’s new boyfriend. However, US Weekly uncovered court documents where he denies this. Instead, Lenny argues that he wanted proof of payment to ensure she wasn’t trying to overcharge him, which he says she never turned over.
According to the court documents, “Given [Lisa’s] history of trying to ‘mislead’ [Lenny] on issues related to finances, it is a reasonable request to see proof of payment.”
The two are also arguing over household items, as his legal team says that none of the furniture Lisa walked away with “should be deemed reasonable.” They argue this because her new place was furnished already.
The court documents also say that Lisa “took a Fendi foyer table costing $35,000, not to use as a dining table but to use as a similar foyer table at her new apartment.” Not only that, but the RHOM star took all the houseplants as well as “90 percent” of the artwork and only left her estranged husband with three pieces.
However, the court docs took a petty turn as a waffle maker was mentioned. According to his legal team, Lenny used it on the weekends with the kids, and this is Lisa’s attempt at hurting their quality time. However, this is childish on both ends, as either of them could simply go out and buy a waffle maker.
US Weekly reached out to Lisa for a response, and she had this to say, “Lenny’s actions continue to sadden me as they continue to hurt our children.”
Her legal team also said, “Continues to file frivolous and baseless motions laden with allegations that are provably false. It is a shame that Lisa is forced to litigate meritless issues in order to have Lenny’s claims dismissed, rather than conserving the parties’ financial resources for their children.”
They continue, “While Lenny’s actions in the divorce are intended to disparage and cast aspersions on Lisa, Lisa remains steadfast in her belief that the parties should focus on putting their children first and attempt to peacefully co-parent with one another.”
However, there is also the previous issue of her allegedly giving his expensive wine bottles to her new boyfriend. This includes an “irreplaceable” bottle of Lafite Rothschild from 1947 worth well over $2,000. He says he has had to spend $200,000 replacing the items that she took without being entitled to. Despite this, Lisa has said she took only “10 percent of the household marital items.”
Meanwhile, fans just want the divorce to be over and for Bravo to finally update us on the new season of The Real Housewives of Miami.
