Former Vanderpump Rules star Rachel Leviss might be taking a break from reality TV, but she still keeps a very active profile through her podcast.
Of course, she’s embroiled in a highly publicized legal battle with Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix, but she also recently found romance with businessman Matthew Dunn. However, the two called it quits after only a month, and now she’s revealing why the relationship ended. Plus, she is opening up about not rushing to have sex in her future relationships.
As everyone knows, Rachel, 29, secretly dated Tom while he was still very much involved with Ariana. Currently, she is suing them both for revenge porn as she accuses Ariana of sending a private video of her to their friends. More recently, it was ruled that the case could move forward.
While on her podcast, Raquel recently opened up about why she broke things off with the guy she was seeing. She starts first by discussing her relationships with Tom and James Kennedy and how, in the past, she wasn’t the most logical in her relationships. However, she then says that she and Matthew broke up because he posted a photo of them on his social media after agreeing not to.
According to Raquel, “He told me one thing, and his actions were different. I asked him not to post on social media because it was too soon in the relationship.”
She goes on, “We were dating for a month. So when I went to Stagecoach for the weekend, he updated his Facebook profile photo to a picture of us, and the media caught wind of that. It was just this whole thing. I had to end it, and it was hard.”
Raquel continues, “It was sad because we had a good connection and good conversation. He was emotionally stable and emotionally intelligent. Those were new things for me to experience, and it seemed like maybe he either had an impulse control issue because we agreed not to do that or he wanted to post to show me off.”
According to People, Raquel also recently shared that she wants to date again but that she has a new rule when it comes to having sex. She had this to say on the matter, “I’m looking forward to it. I’m looking for someone who is safe and reliable and emotionally mature, emotionally stable, and someone who’s gonna treat me right.”
She goes on, “I definitely wouldn’t sleep with someone on the third date, especially because I already have a reputation. [I] don’t need people making assumptions about me being easy.”
She also shared that she was advised not to have sex with new suitors until they have been together for at least two months. However, she wants to take it up a notch and go for three months. As mentioned earlier, she feels that she moved too fast with James despite it turning into something she calls real. She also shared that she feels abstaining from sex allows her to get to know people “on a deeper level.”
