Lala Kent is being called out by fans for wearing the same puffy dress to her baby shower that she made fun of Ariana Madix for wearing to Rachel “Raquel” Leviss‘ engagement party.
Days after Lala, 33, celebrated the impending birth of her second child, who she’s welcoming via sperm donation, with a “baby monsoon,” social media users are calling her out for copying Ariana’s look, which she poked fun at on a 2021 episode of Vanderpump Rules.
According to Page Six, Lala’s bubble-hemmed Selkie Puff dress ($295) was the pastel rainbow-colored version of the blue-hued gown that Ariana, 39, had on when she attended the celebration of Raquel’s since-ended engagement to James Kennedy, 32.
“It’s usually a Baby Sprinkle for your second. But I never had a Baby Shower. So a Baby Monsoon seemed to be the only option [and] it was perfect,” Lala captioned a series of photos posted to her Instagram page on July 16.
Following the sharing of the photos, Lala was met with criticism.
“[Lala] copied a dress that she once poked fun at,” Stephanie Tleiji declared in a video shared to her Instagram account on July 15, which included a clip from the 2021 episode of Pump Rules.
“If you had told me it was going to be so chic, I would not have worn a ‘Baby Girl’ tank top,” Lala had said upon walking into Raquel’s outdoor bash.
Then, in a confessional, she threw shade at Ariana’s Selkie Puff dress, asking, “Do I look like a b*tch that has puffy sleeves and a f*cking tutu in my closet?”
After Stephanie’s post, a number of social media users weighed in, many of whom accused Lala of “trying hard to be Ariana” and claimed “Ariana wore it better.”
“Lauren forgets we have the internet,” one person stated.
“THIS DIDN’T AGE WELL,” a second agreed.

“So you do own puffy sleeves and a tutu, interesting,” wrote a third.
But after someone else suggested that “Lala has been giving ‘single white female’ vibes,” another commenter came to Lala’s defense.
“She isn’t mocking the dress. She’s saying that she herself misunderstood the dress code and she isn’t someone who just HAS a puffy dress laying around,” they explained.
Vanderpump Rules season 12 is expected to go into production sometime later this year.
