Filming for Summer House season 9 is underway, and it has much to live up to.
Of course, Paige DeSorbo was one of the most talked-about cast members from last season for how she stood up for Ciara Miller at the reunion. Now, she’s opening up about filming the new season and revealing how things are between Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke. She also discusses the drama between Craig Conover and Kyle Cooke and whether it has impacted her friendship with Amanda Batula.
As fans know, season 8 of Summer House saw the shocking breakup of Carl and Lindsay. Now she’s pregnant, and they’re both on the show once again.
Paige recently spilled the tea to E! News about how the two exes are around each other. She says to the outlet, “It’s actually been fine. I think because they were friends for so long, it’s not as hard as I think people thought it was going to be for them to coexist.”
Paige continues, “Obviously, there’s been a few things; we’ve definitely had some drama in the house. It wouldn’t be us if we didn’t, but it’s been pretty chill.”
She then says that clearly ending their engagement was the right call.
“They’re both very happy, very content. I think it just further proves that it was a great decision for the both of them.”
Paige goes on to discuss what it’s like filming the show with Lindsay being pregnant.
She says, “It’s been fun because I’ve just been using her pregnancy as an excuse for myself. I’m like, ‘Sorry, I just really can’t play any games today. I don’t, you know, that’s dangerous.’ Or if I don’t wanna stay out late, I’m like, ‘Sorry, we’re pregnant. We have to go home.'”
She then says, “I’m so thankful that she’s pregnant. It’s a different experience obviously than we’ve ever experienced, so it’s been really fun.”
She is also happy that Lindsay is having a girl and says it is what she hoped for.
The Summer House star also talked to E News about the drama between Craig and Kyle. For context, Craig invested in a competing seltzer brand and said he first tried to invest in Loverboy. However, Kyle said that wasn’t true and publicly called Craig a liar.
When asked if the drama impacts their friendships, Paige says, “Honestly, Craig and Kyle could burn each other’s houses down, and me and Amanda would still go get drinks together.”
She goes on, “There’s literally nothing that the two of them could do or say to each other. I would never let a man influence my friendship with Amanda. So, no, we’re good. We’ve been good.”
It’s unclear when Summer House will return, but fans can catch up with the show on Peacock.
