Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley are both back in the spotlight after being released from prison in May. Now, they’re making their reality television comeback, and the first trailer for the upcoming series, Chrisleys: Back to Reality, has been released.

Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, reported to prison in January 2023 after being found guilty of tax evasion and bank fraud. Fast-forward to 2025, and they requested a presidential pardon, which was granted. They both served 28 months behind bars and have been open about their experiences since being released.

The trailer begins with audio footage of a phone call from Todd while he’s still in prison.

In it, he says, “We will get through this. I don’t know how it’s going to end, but at some point the truth is going to come out.” Julie can then be heard saying, “I live every day with the hopes that I will be reunited with my husband, my kids, my parents, and my mother-in-law.”

The trailer then continues with a reflection of how famous the Chrisley family was at the height of their time on reality television, as well as a joke from Todd as he wonders if he’d need a facelift before getting out of prison.

Then, they begin to discuss family betrayal, specifically what Savannah Chrisley and Grayson Chrisley deem as betrayal from sister Lindsie Chrisley

“The prosecutor read the letter Lindsie wrote to the FBI. We’re no longer family, lose our last name,” Savannah says about her older sister.

“I mean, your blood will screw you over than a stranger definitely will,” adds Grayson.

From there, Savannah, who is a significant part of the reason her parents were released from prison, can be seen saying in a confessional, “I’ll never forget him opening the door and just watching him walk away.”

She also says she’s worried about her brother, Chase Chrisley, and says he’s “literally like a blank shell.” Savannah then says, “There’s a part of me that is so afraid that he’s going to die that I literally like, I don’t even want to try to have a relationship with him.”

The trailer shows family division, Savannah working to have her parents receive a pardon, and them ultimately being released. Todd jokes at the end, “I never thought I’d be with a dark-headed woman.”

The Chrisleys: Back to Reality premieres on Lifetime on September 1.
