Meghan King is fighting back after Jim Edmonds’ wife, Kortnie O’Connor, called the cops on her earlier this year, alleging that she had entered their Missouri home without permission and filing a restraining order against her.

Months after the encounter took place, new details about the incident have been shared, as the 40-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum, via her rep, clapped back at Kortnie’s claims against her and suggested Jim, 55, had allowed her to go inside.

In a police report from the Frontenac Police Department obtained by Us Weekly on September 3, which listed Kortie as the “victim” and Meghan as the subject, it was revealed that officers were dispatched to Jim and Kortie’s home on May 1 due to his “ex-wife” having been “to the residence several times throughout the day.” It was also noted that Meghan “was currently on scene causing a disturbance.” However, as officers made their way to Jim and Kortnie’s home, they were informed that Meghan was fleeing the scene in a Jeep.

Shortly after being notified about Meghan’s departure from the property, officers witnessed a Jeep matching the description of her vehicle and pulled it over, at which point Meghan claimed she was at Jim and Kortnie’s home to drop off clothing to her daughter, Aspen, 8.

“Meghan advised she had contacted her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, earlier in the day to arrange the clothing drop off,” the report stated. “Meghan contacted Jim’s current wife, Kortnie Edmonds.”

Meanwhile, an insider close to Meghan told Us Weekly that Jim had called Meghan and requested she drop off their child’s communion dress. In turn, Meghan said she needed to speak to Aspen when she arrived. But when she did, Kortnie became “visibly upset” and told her to leave the property immediately.

After Meghan refused to leave, explaining to Kortnie that she’d spoken to Jim, who was not on site, Kortnie called the police, who de-escalated the situation.

“It was shocking to her that it happened in the first place,” the source shared. “She is over this back and forth. She thinks it’s ridiculous. It was a very simple interaction that didn’t need police. Meghan is unfazed because she doesn’t want to escalate conflict.”

Although the insider claimed Meghan “just wants to take care of her family in peace,” Kortnie told police that her time on the property was far from peaceful, alleging that Meghan “[rang] the doorbell multiple times” and suggesting she was supposed to leave Aspen’s dress “at the doorstep.”

“Meghan refused to hand Kortnie the dress and ‘pulled away and asked to speak to’ [her daughter]. Kortnie told Meghan that [her daughter] wasn’t home and she was at a baseball game with Jim,” the report noted. “Meghan became upset.”

After Kortnie asked Meghan to leave the dress and closed her front door, she retreated into another room of the home, only to hear Meghan yelling for Aspen from inside. Then, after Kortnie demanded she leave, Meghan kept her foot in the door so it couldn’t be shut.

“After Meghan moved her foot, Kortnie closed the door,” an officer explained.

Following the incident, Kortnie attempted to press charges for harassment, and Jim confirmed video surveillance of the encounter. However, her charges were “refused” because the case was a civil/domestic dispute, and their case was listed as “inactive.” So, rather than pressing charges, Kortnie filed for a restraining order against Meghan, and ultimately, to avoid a legal battle, Meghan agreed to stay 150 feet away from Kortnie and not mention her on social media.

In a statement to Us Weekly in regard to the matter, Meghan’s rep said, “The recent incident involving Meghan King has been mischaracterized. Meghan was simply attempting to drop off her daughter’s dress at the request of Jim Edmonds and in coordination regarding their child’s needs … There is video footage of this incident, and Meghan wishes it would be shared publicly to clarify the truth.”

“Meghan briefly called to her daughter from the doorway, never stepped inside, had the door slammed in her face, and calmly left her belongings on the porch. Upon leaving, she was unexpectedly blocked by multiple police vehicles and treated in a way that felt unnecessarily hostile,” the rep continued.

They added, “There is a long public record of police reports and [temporary restraining orders] in this matter that show Meghan is the one who has required protection — not the other way around. It should also be noted that Meghan has had primary responsibility for her children for some time now, with the other side’s involvement limited to select occasions.”

“Meghan recognizes she is not alone — many women post-relationship face turmoil and untruths, especially when financial resources already create a personal dynamic of an uneven playing field,” the rep concluded.

In response, a rep for Jim and Kortnie told Us Weekly, “We’re going to let the facts speak for themselves.”
