Emily Simpson clapped back at a post shared by Kim Zolciak about her alleged split from husband Shane Simpson on her Instagram Story on Friday during an “Ask Me a Question” session with her fans and followers.
After the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum posted a clickbait article in which a supposed separation was mentioned, the 49-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star refuted the post while also revealing if she regretted sharing son Luke’s struggles on TV and explaining how her new podcast with Shane, Legally Brunette, has enhanced their marriage.
“I just saw a post that you released a statement on you and Shane splitting?!?!” a fan wrote to Emily during the September 12 chat, including a screenshot of the rumor Kim had shared.
“This is fake,” Emily confirmed.
Another fan asked, “Do you regret how you shared your [son’s] struggles..on national TV?”
“Not at all!” Emily replied. “The thousands and thousands of DMs I have received from moms giving me hope, advice, and sharing their own personal stories and struggles has been invaluable. Plus I would have never known to have Luke tested for PANS/PANDAS if it wasn’t for the amazing moms reaching out to me.”
A third person wondered if Emily and Shane’s podcast had put additional stress or anxiety on their marriage.
“Has the podcast [helped] you and Shane on your marriage or given you more stress/anxiety?” they asked.
“I think it has enhanced the marriage,” Emily admitted.
“I believe so many people love the podcast because they enjoy the authentic banter of a married couple discussing legal topics/true crime in a fun, informed and witty way. And I truly enjoy these discussions with Shane, and I think that really comes through on the podcast,” she added.
