There have been several cast members of The Real Housewives of Orange County since the show premiered in 2006. One of them is Lauri Peterson. Recently, she took to social media to share an adorable update on her granddaughter, whom she can hardly believe is growing up so quickly.

Lauri, 64, is one of the OGs from The Real Housewives of Orange County. She appeared on the series until 2008, which is also when her son, Josh Waring, faced legal trouble. Sadly, he passed away in March 2025. He leaves behind a daughter, Kennedy, whom Lauri is raising. Lauri and her husband legally adopted her several years ago.

The RHOC alum took to Instagram on August 26 to share a photo of  Kennedy on her first day of seventh grade. The proud grandmother wrote on the platform, “How is our girl already here? Watching you grow into such a smart, kind, and beautiful young lady fills my heart with so much pride!”

She added in the caption, “Wishing you the best school year yet-filled with new adventures, learning, laughter and friendships! Love you KK!”

Naturally, there were several supportive comments on the post. One came from fellow RHOC alum Peggy Tanous. She was added to the show for its sixth season. Peggy wrote, “Wow! How is she in 7th grade? Time is going way too fast. Miss you guys.” Gretchen Rossi also commented, writing, “She is soo beautiful.”

Someone else wrote, “She’s a beautiful girl. Josh’s mini for sure. She is a blessed little girl to have you, but I think you’re blessed for being able to raise her.”

Additionally, Lauri recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of her first date with her now husband, George Peterson. She wrote in March on Instagram, “20 years ago on St. Patrick’s Day, I was blindly set up with what has become my great treasure @georgepeterson . From that moment, my life has been filled with more love, laughter and happiness than I ever could have thought was possible.”

The RHOC alum continued, “Looking back on the past two decades, I’m truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the life we have built together. You are my lucky charm, my greatest adventure, and the love of my life. I’d choose you in every lifetime, in every world, and in every possible way! Cheers to us!!”
