As The Real Housewives of Miami‘s seventh season nears its end, news about what the series’ upcoming eighth season may look like has been shared.
While there are still a couple more episodes before the reunion begins, it has been alleged that only five members of the current cast have been secured for the new episodes, while four others are up in the air, with at least two of the women potentially getting fired.
“As of now, [Alexia Nepola], [Larsa Pippen], [Lisa Hochstein], [Stephanie Shojaee], and [Marysol Patton] are essentially locked in for next season. The others, [Guerdy Abraira], [Julia Lemigova], [Adriana De Moura], and [Kiki Barth], are considered ‘on the bubble,'” read a September 16 report from Bravo and Cocktails.
As noted by the outlet, Guerdy, 47, Julia, 53, Adriana, 59, and Kiki, 36, are currently without contracts for season eight. And, when it comes to their potential return, producers haven’t yet decided whether or not to bring them back.
“It’s likely that 2 of the 4 won’t be back. The rest of the lineup (including new additions or potential returnees) remains undecided, so this update only applies to the existing cast,” the report continued.
While only time will tell which women are asked back, the outlet went on to note that Guerdy was the most likely of the remaining four to be given a contract for season eight.
“However, the challenge with Guerdy is that the cast doesn’t fully gel with her,” it shared. “Adriana is more of a toss-up because she’s seemed disengaged, and producers are aware of it. [And] Julia is the most likely to be out, largely due to fan backlash.”
As fans well know, Julia sparked outrage after tossing a drink on Guerdy earlier this season, and her wife, Martina Navratilova, 68, prompted backlash of her own after sharing a message on X about surrogacy, saying it was “just wrong.”
“As for Kiki,” Bravo and Cocktails added, “her spot on the bubble has more to do with balancing out the cast divide and because her personal storyline hasn’t really resonated with viewers as much as viewers hoped.”
The Real Housewives of Miami season seven airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
