Kenya Moore confirmed during the summer that she would not be returning for season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Since then, she has been hosting a YouTube show where she offers her thoughts on current events and hot topics. During the most recent episode, she sparked backlash after making an uncouth joke about Karen Huger. Plus, she’s reacting to news surrounding the current cast of the show.
Regarding her comments on Karen, 62, the RHOA alum has questions about Karen’s ability to survive in jail, and she went on to ask if the Grand Dame was a top or a bottom.
“Karen, this is what I need to know: can I get that exclusive?” Kenya, 54, asked. “When you went to your jail cell at night, was it bunks that were side by side, or were they double bunks, like top and bottom?”
From there, her line of discussion became a bit cruder. She said, “Because, Karen, I need to know, are you a top or a bottom?” Production then added a sound effect to enhance the dramatic nature of the question. The former Miss USA then insisted, “What, I’m not trying to be shady.”
She went on about the Real Housewives of Potomac star, “I just want to know, are you a top or a bottom, Karen? You can tell your girl, wink, wink. I know you lived through the ’70s, girl. I know you had a wild lifestyle. Top or bottom, just let the people know.”
The commentary didn’t end there, as Kenya went on to talk about jail and how she couldn’t do it because she needs a hot bath or shower at least once a week. She then joked about not meaning someone “spitting” on her or “spitting on their fingers.”
The comments on the post, which the Bravo Shade Room shared, were not in Kenya’s favor. One person said, “That’s actually just plain rude.” Someone else weighed in, saying, “I’m embarrassed for Kenya ATP.” Another fan wrote, “Kenya, I love u girl…. but what is this mess?! LOL.”
As mentioned, Kenya also discussed RHOA. Specifically, she mentioned Angela Oakley, who she says is her friend, unfollowing K Michelle, who is rumored to be joining the show and has been seen filming. Notably, Kenya was the first to hint that K would be joining the series.
“Meanwhile, over in Atlanta, the cast and tea are boiling hot, chile. And guess who spilled it first, well, kind of. Like, I alluded to it, I didn’t give you the names, but you knew what you knew from what I knew,” Kenya began. “Let’s just say the drama’s already starting, and Angela, my girl, unfollowed K Michelle on Instagram.”
She went on to question if people still “do that” and said, “I think that’s so childish.” Kenya stated that she wouldn’t let the person know she didn’t like them in that way. Instead, she would just put them “on mute.” Kenya went on to wonder if the cast shake-up would “breathe new life into the Housewives,” or if it would feel like “too drastic a change.”
She said she’s “rooting for the fresh energy.” Kenya also said, “Atlanta deserves a shakeup, and I think these women could really bring it.”
Kenya then asked fans, “Are you excited about the new era of Housewives? New era, meaning you’ll never get the old back.”
