Stephanie Shojaee is seen reacting to a rumor suggesting she was hired by her husband Masoud‘s ex-wife to be his assistant in a sneak peek at the upcoming three-part reunion for The Real Housewives of Miami season seven.
After host Andy Cohen, 57, reads a question from a Reddit user, who suggests Stephanie, 40, and Masoud, 66, didn’t meet at a basketball game, but rather that she was hired by his former wife, Stephanie set the record straight.
“Let me be very clear: I have never, never met his ex-wife. There’s not a photo. There’s not a text message. There’s not an email. There is nothing out there. I have never worked for her. I was never Masoud’s assistant,” Stephanie clarifies.
“Also, very important to note that Masoud was separated for like eight years before I met him,” she adds. “I’ve never met his ex-wife.”
Meanwhile, co-star Adriana De Moura, 59, interjects, reminding Stephanie that she crossed paths with Masoud’s ex-wife during a recent lunch date.
“Until recently when we were having lunch. It was crazy,” Adriana recalls. “We went to lunch and all the sudden she froze and she goes, ‘Oh my God, oh my God … Masoud’s [ex] wife here.’”
According to Stephanie, she and Masoud’s former spouse were only in the same building — they weren’t speaking to one another, nor did they acknowledge each other at all.
“I didn’t meet her. I didn’t meet her,” she states as Adriana explains that the woman was sitting “across from [them].”
“You didn’t speak?” Andy asks.
“I’ve never met her,” Stephanie replies.
“She was like, ‘Block me. Block me,’” Adriana shares.
Stephanie also denied the rumor about how she and Masoud met in July when she was questioned about the matter during a Q&A with fans on Instagram.
“Assistant? I’ve NEVER even met the woman,” she wrote of Masoud’s ex-wife. “Let’s be clear: rumors like that don’t start from truth, they start from bitter people looking for attention. But I get it … when people can’t be part of [the] story, they try to rewrite it.”
The Real Housewives of Miami season seven reunion begins this Thursday, October 2, at 9/8c on Bravo.
