Olivia Flowers has ended her engagement to Alex Williams and called off their wedding.
Just weeks after the 33-year-old Southern Charm alum shared a slew of photos and videos from her bachelorette weekend in Miami, Florida, Olivia announced the breakup with a statement from her representative.
“After much thought and many heartfelt conversations, Olivia and her fiancé Alex have made the difficult decision not to move forward with their wedding. This was not a decision made lightly, but one grounded in deep mutual respect and love for one another,” Olivia’s Cabine Creative rep wrote in an October 14 statement shared on Instagram.
The statement continued, “While this isn’t the path they originally envisioned, they are profoundly grateful for the love and support of their friends and family. Alex and Olivia remain committed to each other with a renewed sense of clarity, strength and appreciation for honoring one’s heart.”
“She is very appreciative of your grace and kindness as they move through this transition together,” the statement concluded.
As Southern Charm fans may recall, Olivia, who previously dated Austen Kroll, 38, debuted her romance with Alex in late 2023 after meeting at a wedding. They got engaged in September 2024 in New York City.
“It was perfection. Thank you all for this unforgettable PROPOSAL… WHAT?! I love you, especially you Alexander,” Olivia wrote in the caption of an Instagram post after Alex got down on one knee for a proposal that included her parents and friends.
While no reason was given for Olivia and Alex’s split, their wedding date seemed to be nearing at the end of last month as Olivia showcased a number of pre-wedding events.
On September 24, the former reality star posted a series of photos and a video of herself on Instagram, many of which featured a room filled with “Bride” decorations and balloons.
“[Bach to Basic] was anything but basic.. my poses might have been, but not the details,” she wrote in the caption.
Days later, she shared a video of herself and friends at Kiki on the River, a Mediterranean restaurant in Miami.
Olivia then recapped her girls’ trip on October 1 with even more pics and videos.
“Some of you I met in elementary school, others we survived high school awkward phases and questionable first loves, then there are my college sweethearts who I can’t imagine life without… You’ve been with me through every chapter. Yall are my favorite blessing. Cheers to many more milestones together,” she shared.
Additionally, in a post shared on Instagram just yesterday, on October 13, Olivia seemed to be getting a kiss from Alex, and she also included a solo image of her now-ex-fiance.
