Hudson McLeroy is speaking out about his recent split from Ariana Biermann.
After Ariana, 23, announced the news on her Instagram Story earlier this week, saying “it’s what’s best” for the two of them, the Next Gen NYC star took to his own Story on Wednesday to address the breakup.
“I feel like everyone deserves to hear both sides of our story,” he wrote in the October 15 post. “I still and always will love Ariana. She’s been there for me at times when I couldn’t be there for myself.”
Hudson continued, “I still have a lot of things to heal from and deal with on my own to become the person I truly want to be. I appreciate all of the love and support everyone is showing us during this difficult time.”
Ariana’s statement was shared one day prior.
“Hudson and I have decided to go our separate ways, while these things are never easy, we both know it’s what’s best for us right now. We are so grateful for all the love and support you’ve shown us over the years. Sometimes life takes you in different directions and that’s okay … Love you all,” she told her online audience on October 14.
As Next Gen NYC fans may recall, Ariana was open with her desire to get engaged to Hudson, especially after many years of dating. She even revealed in August that she’d given Hudson a marriage ultimatum.
“I have a five-year rule,” she told Bravo’s The Daily Dish. “So, if he doesn’t propose in five years, which is in a little less than two years, it’s a no.”
According to Ariana, whose sister, Brielle Biermann, 28, got engaged to Billy Seidl, 25, in early 2024, she didn’t want to rush Hudson into something he wasn’t ready for or pressure him into settling down. But at the same time, she and Hudson were frequently speaking about getting married.
“He talks about it all the time,” she explained. “So, I’m like, ‘Stop talking about it and do it or don’t do it.’ Everyone’s getting engaged!”
Next Gen NYC has not yet been renewed for a second season.
