Angie Katsanevas is sharing her thoughts on her ongoing issues with Lisa Barlow and accusing her Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-star of spreading lies.
As she also spoke of having “grenades” to use against Meredith Marks, 53, explained the root of her tiff with Mary Cosby, 53, and offered an update on where they stand today, Angie, 51, responded to a question about why she and Lisa have been continuously feuding on recent episodes.
“At the French fry franchise luncheon, I thought it was because we truly cared about each other and loved each other,” Angie began during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, via Bye Wig Hello Drama on Instagram.
While Angie initially believed that their past friendship led the two of them to be more passionate about certain things, she ultimately started to feel that Lisa simply had another side to her that she didn’t previously know.
“She sent somebody to pick up the product and started it all over again. So I was really touched and moved by her at the end of that luncheon, and then it started all over. So, I don’t know, I’d like to say it’s because we care and we’re friends, but she’s kind of shown me different by throwing things like soup man and credit cards, and then there was another thing that didn’t make it [to air],” she revealed. “I’ll save it for reunion, but she just, she slings accusations out there without any facts.”
Looking back at the “soup man” suggestion, Angie said Lisa’s story changed numerous times — even more than fans witnessed.
“It was soup and then it changed to suit and then it changes to something else. And I hope the something else airs cuz it just was all over the place,” she shared. “That’s why I say, ‘Come with facts.’ I’ll deal with facts, but just hurling insults, it triggers me because the rumors and the nastiness I dealt with when I came on was just really overwhelming and that’s why it really triggered me immediately in that moment, along with things that were said at Amy’s party that never aired.”
According to Angie, she was faced with a “build-up” between her and Lisa.
“Stop just throwing lies out there about me because people take these and they run with them, and I’ve already dealt with that,” she stated. “The mafia, things about my marriage, it’s like, that was enough, and I just want to coast for a minute and have fun doing this show.”
In addition to facing her own drama with Lisa, Angie said that Lisa also encouraged her to dig up dirt on Meredith when the two of them weren’t on good terms.
“She was giving me a grenade to put in my back pocket for when I needed it. And if you notice, I needed it multiple times with Meredith after I came on this show, and I never used it. So that’s not how I play ball,” she explained.
Moving on to Mary, Angie said her co-star was “worried” about her during her time filming Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition.
“I had no cell service, so that really stressed her out cuz she couldn’t get a hold of me,” she recalled.
While she and Mary went through a rocky patch amid season six, Angie confirmed they are now in a “good place” as she revealed why Mary was so upset about her drama with Lisa.
“When Mary explained it to me, I, too, could understand why she felt the way she did,” Angie admitted. “[But] in the moment, I couldn’t hear her, and I needed her to just give me a break because I was so hurt, but looking back, I am responsible for my reaction. Lisa is not. And I don’t like how I reacted, so I am holding myself accountable to trying to respond differently in the future to these situations.”
“Mary just wanted me to hold myself to a higher standard, as did I, and when you’re in a moment where you’re just so hurt and you finally had enough, sometimes you don’t act like you want to,” she added.
