Teresa Giudice reportedly spent a full day with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga, following a years-long estrangement in an effort to make amends.
After Teresa, 53, and Joe, 51, both publicly confirmed that a reunion was impending, an insider claimed the Real Housewives of New Jersey stars were able to get to a “better place” with one another after hashing things out during a “secret” meeting, potentially because they want to get back to filming for season 15.
“[They] want to get back to work,” an insider told Radar Online on November 3, adding that their reported reunion was a “necessary step” to the return of RHONJ.
While the source confirmed that Teresa “definitely met” with Joe and Melissa, 46, sharing that the face-to-face interaction was a good “first step” toward ending their family feud, fans won’t see it on the show.
“The meeting absolutely was not taped for TV,” the insider stated.
According to the report, producers previously “made it known” to Teresa and the Gorgas that they were not interested in filming their potential makeup session. That said, they added that if the trio does fully reconcile, their relationship could certainly be featured.
“If Joe and Teresa do end up making up and are in a good place, it is, of course, possible production could entertain having them both back on the show, and then fans would get to watch their rekindled relationship,” the source noted.
As for how the reunion went, the insider said that by the end of the day, “things were really good” between Teresa and the Gorgas.
“They stayed there all day and talked things out, and they’re absolutely in a better place after meeting,” they confirmed.
As RHONJ fans may have seen, Teresa opened up about her desire to speak with Joe on an episode of her podcast last month.
“I just want peace. That’s it,” she explained on Turning the Tables by Teresa Giudice. “I wanna be a good influence for everyone out there. Also, if they’re going through a difficult time with their families, I want them to be able to forgive also and move on. I know sometimes it’s hard to do that, but sometimes we just do it for the kids. We want to be a good example for our children.”
“I want it to be good, like if I see him, and that’s it. I don’t want no more fighting,” she added.
