Teresa Giudice was reportedly forced to make amends with her brother, Joe Gorga, and sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga.
On the heels of the news regarding their “secret” meeting, and as Teresa’s ex-husband, Joe Giudice, 53, confirmed when it went down, an insider claimed the 53-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star was not sincere in wanting to make peace with Joe, 51, and Melissa, 46, and suggested she did so only for the sake of the show.
“It’s totally motivated by going back to the show,” a source told Radar Online on November 4.
According to the insider, Bravo told the trio, “We’ve been down this road before and this is on you. We are not going to film with people who don’t talk.”
However, even after Teresa and the Gorgas allegedly made nice during an all-day discussion, Bravo hasn’t made any decisions regarding season 15.
Meanwhile, during a November 3 interview with Us Weekly, Joe Giudice revealed that Teresa’s meeting with her brother and Melissa happened over the weekend.
“I know they met Saturday night,” he confirmed, adding that he believed Luis Ruelas, 50, was present, as well.
Although Joe didn’t know the outcome of the meeting, he said that he would like to see Teresa and her family at peace.
“At the end of the day, it’s still her brother … It’s her only brother,” he noted. “Besides that, the cousins don’t speak… which isn’t right … [So] get over it, because it’s like, what are you gonna do?”
During the November 3 episode of TV Gold With Jennifer Aydin, Teresa said that she and the Gorgas were taking “baby steps.”
“What, you know, made me do this is that, you know, [it] started with Special Forces being away with Gia and then Gia wanted me to let go of the past with her dad. And when I was thinking about that, then I started thinking about my brother and and and then there’s [an] incident that has happened, you know, the past few years or whatever,” she explained.
Also in his interview with Us Weekly, Joe confirmed that he and Teresa were still on good terms.
“She still thinks she’s, you know, married to me,” he joked.
He then added that he has a girlfriend and is open to a future marriage.
“I mean, eventually, I guess I would,” he admitted.
