Heather Gay spoke of Meredith Marks‘ alleged plane meltdown while appearing on Tuesday night’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.
As she also mentioned Lisa Barlow‘s supposed leaks, Jason Chambers‘ denial of their hookup, and Mary Cosby‘s reaction to Meredith’s antics against Britani Bateman, 54, the 51-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star accused Lisa, 50, of being in “denial,” reacted to Bronwyn Newport‘s marriage drama, discussed her Mormonism special, and more.
“The truth is, like, we were 9-10ths of that first class cabin, and it was all housewives and production, and it was kind of a celebrity no touch zone. They were used to our crazy behavior. We came in loud, and I don’t think it was air marshal zip-tied behavior, but I also think that celebrity played a part in it,” Heather explained on the November 11 episode of WWHL.
She then said that when it came to Lisa’s alleged leaks, she had “absolute receipts, proof, timeline, screenshots,” before noting that the discussions about them weren’t important.
“What’s important is that we evolve and move on and no longer try to build ourselves up by taking each other down … we’ll see [if we got there] after the reunion,” she noted.
Looking back at Jason’s claim that the two of them didn’t actually hook up, Heather asked, “Nothing happened?”
“If that’s how he defines ‘nothing,’ that’s fine,” she suggested before adding that “nothing” happened.
“I love him, and we had so much fun in Australia, and it’s like, a weird kinship when you’re in a different — I mean, it’s his country. It’s a different country for me. And we’re doing press, and we’re hanging out every day. It’s his land and he was my guide in many ways,” she explained.
As for Mary’s sit-down with Meredith, 53, about her behavior toward Britani, during which Mary, 53, suggested Meredith apologize, at least for her own sake, Heather applauded Mary for cutting through Meredith’s “BS pretty quickly.”
“Meredith came in so sing-songy. And Mary was just like, ’15 minutes? 30 minutes?’ It was more than that. And I just loved watching the interaction of those two friends try to, like, break down what really happened on that plane,” Heather admitted.
Following her dispute with Lisa, 50, who reportedly shamed her for defending Britani against Meredith, Heather said she “thought it was ridiculous” that Lisa wasn’t listening to what Britani had to say about her role in the drama.
“I was trying to say, ‘Listen, Britani told me this. I witnessed this. And you are in denial,'” she explained.
Then, after denying that Lisa lived a very different life than other members of the RHOSLC cast, saying that the “only big difference” she sees “is that we live our life with our own money,” Heather reacted to Brownyn’s openness about marriage to Todd Bradley.
“My take on it all is like, what is your relationship with Todd? Is it open marriage and, ‘I picked a girl for you to make out with and I did this,’ or is it, ‘I love him, he’s my person, I’m monogamous?'” she wondered. “I don’t really understand. It feels like it flip-flops a lot … I mean, the truth is, I’m not that deeply invested in her relationship with Todd. I’m invested in the stories she tells us about him and if they’re true or not.”
Moving on to her three-part special, Surviving Mormonism, Heather admitted she didn’t know how her family felt about her sharing her experiences with the controversial religion.
“They won’t tell me. I have no contact. I have one brother that lives in Zurich, and he’ll be super supportive. He’s left the church after I did on the show,” she shared. “[But] I felt honored to hear their stories … It did feel like it was cathartic and therapeutic for me. It almost felt selfish that I was like, going through the process with them.”
Later, while appearing on the WWHL: After Show, Heather was asked how Lisa’s alleged leaks are different than those of Monica Garcia, 42, who was exposed for having ties to the Reality Von Tease fan page at the end of season four.
“Monica didn’t have tea to leak because Monica wasn’t our friend. Monica had built a blog to tear us down with no actual facts … so it’s completely different,” she explained.
Heather then added that while she and her castmates “love and have tremendous respect for Lisa,” they “also know that she leaks stories to the media.”
