Mary Cosby and her husband, Robert Cosby Sr., are being targeted by a new documentary about their controversial church, Faith Temple Pentecostal.

In a just-released trailer for the three-part TLC special, The Cult of the Real Housewife, a number of commentators, including Mary’s sister, former church members, a cult expert, and YouTuber Adam Newell, of Up And Adam!, are seen discussing the 53-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s marriage to her step-grandfather, the misconduct claims that have been made against the church, and whether the couple is actually running a cult.

The sneak peek clip shared by TMZ on November 12 features rare footage from the church’s early days, recordings of Mary and Robert Sr.’s sermons, and more.

“Mary Cosby is the villain that you love on The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” Adam declares in the just-released trailer as a woman notes, “Mary being married to her step-grandfather was the only that people could talk about.”

“This was the reason that people were watching the show,” Adam agrees.

Then, the RHOSLC cast member’s sister is seen addressing the marriage between her and Robert Sr., who welcomed their only child, son Robert Cosby Jr., in 2005.

“He was saying that God was telling him to marry my sister. Next thing you know, she’s in his house and they’re doing God knows what,” the sister recalls.

Another woman notes, “I absolutely believe that Mary and Robert are running a cult,” as Adam suggests that members of Faith Temple Church believe that Mary “is God.”

Others accuse someone of destroying their family “to put Robert and Mary first” and claim “Mary’s kink is money.”

Also in the shocking sneak peek, as Adam states, “If you have skeletons in your closet, you better not join a reality TV show,” another man warns, “It’s time for people to know the truth.”

The Cult of the Real Housewife premieres on Thursday, January 1, at 8/7c on TLC, with all three episodes of the special becoming available on Max and Discovery+ on January 2.
