Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss is breaking her silence after filing for divorce from Todd Tucker following 11 years of marriage.
Kandi and Todd first began dating in 2011 while she was on RHOA and he was part of the show’s production team. They then married in 2014, with their special day being documented on a Bravo spinoff, Kandi’s Wedding. Sadly, she filed for divorce on November 21, 2025. They share two children, Ace and Blaze.
Kandi opened up about her divorce on her November 24 Amazon Live session after a fan asked how she was feeling. The singer and former Real Housewives of Atlanta star said, “I’m gonna be very honest with you. I am up and down.”

She continued, “Obviously, going through a divorce is definitely not the easiest thing. You know, sometimes you’re cool, you move, and you’re mixing, but then sometimes you have your moments of sadness, and me being the Taurus that I am, I like to keep those moments to myself.”
Kandi went on, “When I was on Housewives, I really couldn’t keep moments to myself when I got upset, so ya’ll would catch me crying, but in real life, my everyday life, I don’t really like for those moments to be shared with the world.”
From there, Kandi made honest, reflective comments about her marriage to Todd and its conclusion. She stated, “Let me just say, no matter what Todd and I are going through, we are parents together. We are co-parenting together. We have beautiful children together, so we are trying to make this transition as smooth as it can possibly be for our kids.”

Kandi also confirmed that she filed for divorce on Friday, November 21, which was the same day she released her statement. However, she also stated that this “has been brewing for a while.” She also claimed that all the times people have seen her appear seemingly happy online in recent months “means nothing” as she has been “going through it.”
Kandi added, “Life has been life-ing me.”
Lastly, she also added that her mom, Mama Joyce, who has always voiced her disapproval of Todd, has been “peaceful and happy” since the news broke.
