Venita Aspen addressed her comments about Molly O’Connell‘s vaginal rejuvenation surgery on her Instagram Story after the topic became gossip for the Southern Charm cast on Wednesday’s episode.
In the latest episode, Salley Carson, 30, spoke of Molly’s “new vagina” and wondered who paid for it. Venita, 32, admitted to telling Salley about Molly’s procedure, and she confessed to making a mistake as she confirmed her many apologies to Molly, 37. Now, Venita and Molly have responded by offering an update on where they stand now.
“Hi I want to take a moment and talk about last night’s episode,” Venita began. “I made a careless comment about Molly. No matter the context the comment was not my place to share. I understand that.”
“I did apologize right away, and if that apology came across as too casual, I think it was because I didn’t want to draw more attention to a situation where she may have already felt uncomfortable or exposed. I’ve apologized to Molly privately since then and will continue to take responsibility for that moment and for what followed,” she continued. “I said something in a conversation with a friend … That something said turned into something which made another woman feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. That was never my intention, but I also know that intention does not erase the impact.”
According to Venita, Molly deserved better in that moment.
“I am thankful for the grace that Molly gave me,” she noted.
Venita went on to say that another woman’s body shouldn’t be gossip, made into a joke, or judged.
“I’m owning my mistake and learning from it. I hope that you all can too,” she concluded.
Then, after a Bravo fan page said they hoped Venita and Molly were “in a good place,” Molly confirmed they were.
“We are! She has apologized multiple times [and] continues to show remorse. I also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her yesterday,” she shared.
