Meredith Marks revealed a text message she received from Bronwyn Newport‘s estranged husband, Todd Bradley, in regard to her own husband, Seth Marks‘, supposed dinner date while appearing on Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp‘s podcast on Monday.
As she also accused the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast of defamation for the many rumors they spread about her throughout season six, recalled them “running” from her drug tests, and admitted to what went down on the plane with Britani Bateman, 55, Meredith revealed her kids’ reaction to the drama of season six and shared if she’d seen the TLC documentary about Mary Cosby, 53, and her church.
“What’s interesting about all of this is, you know, everyone’s like, ‘Oh, you got so silent in the car,’ and it’s because I was like very surprised. I was very shocked by what was going on, and it’s a double standard,” Meredith, 54, explained on the January 12 episode of Two Ts in a Pod as she looked back on the claim Bronwyn, 40, made about her husband allegedly having dinner with another woman.
“‘Don’t talk about her marriage, but I’m gonna go talk about someone else’s?'” she wondered. “Well, we have a little problem here because what she said we talked about that night was partial truths, not full truths. And what she’s saying happened in New York, it’s a partial truth.”
According to Meredith, she has a text from Todd, who confirmed that Seth wasn’t just with a woman.
“I have a text from her own husband, who was there, saying it was very clearly a business dinner. There were four men there. Did she forget that part?” she asked of Bronwyn.
Looking back at her reaction to the marriage rumors, Meredith wondered how she was supposed to respond.
“What am I supposed to do? Be like, ‘Okay, make these accusations about my husband,’ who by the way, this year was the first year in our lives that my husband was working completely remotely?” she asked. “We were together 24/7, but we don’t see any of that. Never even saw a fallout scene between me and my husband after these accusations were made.”
After facing not only false claims about her marriage during season six, but also allegations of drug use and heavy drinking, Meredith said she was a victim of defamation.
“A lot of the women need to take a good, hard look in the mirror and see what’s going on in their own lives that’s making them try to literally completely defame me, and that’s what it is, it’s defamation because it’s not true,” she stated. “If it were true, that would be another story, but it’s not, and as I said multiple times during the season, I’ll take a drug test any day, any time.”
“There’s nothing you’re going to find other than what I’ve said, which is a little THC,” she continued. “I’ll take an occasional gummy here and there, usually to sleep, and that’s it. I’m not into that … It’s not my thing, and I’m not a heavy drinker.”
As for whether any of her castmates agreed to take their drug test, Meredith confirmed, “No.”
“As soon as that was actually something for real, they’re all running, and I’m not running,” she noted.
Then, after saying that her kids “felt for [her]” when they watched the sixth season of RHOSLC, Meredith took accountability for her role in the plane drama with Britani.
“If you want to say I was dumping wine on Britani’s head on the airplane, I’m not going to take accountability for it because it didn’t happen. Will I take accountability for saying things that are not nice but true about her on the plane to Lisa, and maybe it was a little louder than I thought it was?” she asked. “She had over-the-ear headphones on, and I had said them all to her face anyway.”
Of the supposedly dramatic moment, Meredith insisted it was “not that big of a deal.”
“But I do fully take accountability for that. It was 100 percent the wrong place. It was 100 percent the wrong time to do it. But I don’t feel bad about the things I said because they’re true and I said them to her face before,” she clarified.
Also during the interview, Meredith was asked if she watched the Mary documentary.
“I have not … all I’ve seen are a few things here and there on social, so I can’t really speak to it,” she stated.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season six airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
