Teddi Mellencamp’s father, Grammy Award-winning musician John Mellencamp, offered a concerning update on her health while appearing on Joe Rogan’s podcast on Wednesday.
Before the 44-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum returned to her shared podcast with Tamra Judge, 58, on Friday, the 74-year-old rocker revealed how she’d been doing, telling Joe, 58, and his listeners that she was “really sick” and still “suffering.”
“I do have a daughter that’s really sick. It’s not f*cking fun. She’s got cancer in the brain, and she’s suffering right now,” John shared on the January 14 episode of the Joe Rogan Experience.
Meanwhile, on her podcast, after revealing she’d been going through therapy, resting, and hanging with her family during her time away from her show, Teddi confirmed a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) diagnosis.
“I’ve been doing a lot of therapy. A lot of rest. A lot of hanging with the family,” shared Teddi on the January 16 episode of Two Ts in a Pod.
She continued, “I’m struggling with like, massive PTSD from everything that happened, and I didn’t really realize it. So I’m starting to feel a little better. The cloud is lifting.”
As RHOBH fans may recall, Teddi first confirmed she’d been diagnosed with brain cancer nearly one year ago after doctors discovered multiple tumors in her brain and lungs.
“One year … It’s so crazy,” she said as she looked back.
Then, after Tamra asked if everything was “good,” Teddi replied, “Everything’s good as can be.”

John’s comments come just months after Teddi announced on Two Ts in a Pod that recent scans had found “no detectable cancer.”
“I still need to stay on immunotherapy for another year, and I’m not considered in remission or anything like that … [but] when they told me, I was in such shock. I was like numb,” Teddi admitted. “I’m still gonna be having days when I’m feeling sick and stuff because I still am in immunotherapy. So I’m still fighting, because you have to be. It’s the way they said it works. It’s like a year, then two years, then at three years you’re allowed to be considered in remission … but that was huge news.”
Teddi Mellencamp was featured in a full-time role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills from season eight through season 10.
