Sutton Stracke‘s falling out with her former assistant, Avi Gabay, has been a hot topic for months, mainly because she’s played coy in regard to why exactly they cut ties.
As the storyline plays out on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, with Amanda Frances, 40, suggesting on last week’s episode that Avi had threatened to spill dirt on Sutton, 54, an insider has come forward with new information, alleging that an incident involving Southern Charm star Venita Aspen, 32, preceded Avi’s firing.
“Sutton was allowing Venita (Southern Charm) to stay at her property in NYC last year. When Venita arrived, the property wasn’t up to par / prepared for her arrival. Sutton was upset and blamed Avi. He was let go,” the source claimed in a January 18 post on Reddit.
“I know this from a mutual friend. It’s not a big mystery — it’s actually a boring story. Hence why both Avi and Jen Tilly thought it’d blow over,” the insider continued. “I’m not sure if it’s production or Amanda hyping it up for the purpose of the show.”
After last week’s RHOBH, Sutton appeared on the After Show, where she admitted that she wasn’t necessarily buying the idea that Avi was threatening to leak information about her.
“I don’t even know if Avi said that. It doesn’t sound like him,” Sutton noted. “It doesn’t make sense. It was weird.”
As for why Avi has stayed silent thus far in regard to his estrangement from Sutton, The Pink Pop Box on Instagram alleged that he signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA), which legally makes it impossible to speak out.
“I found out from a very reliable source that allegedly Avi has an NDA in regards to Sutton … Unless she slips up, we will never know what really went down,” the social media account claimed.
