Dorinda Medley is joining the cast of E!’s Real Housewives of New York City reboot, The Golden Life, following her former castmate Jill Zarin‘s rant against Bad Bunny‘s performance at the Super Bowl.

After Jill, 62, slammed the rapper’s halftime show as “the worst halftime show ever,” complaining that it had “no white people” and felt like “an ICE thing,” a report has suggested that Dorinda, 61, will be taking on a role alongside Ramona Singer, 69, Sonja Morgan, 62, Luann de Lesseps, 60, and Kelly Bensimon, 57.

According to the February 11 report from Page Six, E! had been considering Dorinda all along and was planning to reveal she would be a part of the show closer to its premiere for added publicity.

As RHONY fans have seen, Jill’s firing was confirmed earlier this week amid backlash from her fellow Bravolebrities and the general public.

“In light of recent public comments made by Jill Zarin, [production company] Blink49 Studios has decided not to move forward with her involvement in ‘The Golden Life.’ We remain committed to delivering the series in line with our company standards and values,” the production company told Variety.

A short time later, Jill broke her silence, noting that she was “human.”

“They didn’t even give me a chance,” she told In Touch Weekly. “I took it down right away. People make mistakes. I’m human.”

Meanwhile, on the February 9 episode of SiriusXM’s Reality Checked, Dorinda made it clear that her views were not in alignment with Jill’s.

“I’m so proud of Bad Bunny for doing this. Music [was] incredible. And then today we woke up to Jill Zarin giving her opinion on it, and I don’t even think I need to tell you what her opinion was. But I disagree with absolutely everything she said,” she stated. “I don’t know how you can walk away from what we had the luxury and the honor of witnessing yesterday on the Super Bowl and the effect that it probably had on so many people, especially people that are frightened right now, that are faltered right now. He created hope, and I felt it. I felt sentimental about that Super Bowl Halftime.”

“So I just want to say that, you know, I think the world has said it already, but I want to say I do not agree with any of it. I am horrified by it and that’s all I’m gonna say,” she added.
