Dr. Dhivya Srinivasa is calling Kelly Dodd out yet again.
Following a series of back-and-forth social media videos, which began after the 50-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum seemingly defended Jill Zarin‘s racist Super Bowl rant, the plastic surgeon returned to Instagram, where she explained the difference between defamation and accountability after being threatened with a lawsuit from the ex-reality star.
“The reason I harp so much on words is because words carry meaning, and if you don’t know the meaning of words, well, that’s gonna make things a little bit hard for you, because then the words that you say don’t carry any weight,” Dr. Dhivya explained on February 20 before announcing that Friday’s “Word of the Day” was “defamation.”
“[It’ll] be so fun to talk about what defamation actually is. I’ll tell you what it’s not: If you’re sad that you’re losing business for things that you did and are true, that’s not called defamation. It’s called accountability. People get it mixed up all the time. It’s not just you. See, for it to be defamation, first of all, it would have to be untrue,” she continued.
At that point, Dr. Dhivya showcased a couple of clips of Kelly, one of which saw Kelly complaining that she can’t “pronunciate” the surgeon’s name and another that saw her accusing Dr. Dhivya of defamation.
“[She] says that I am on benzos, that is like, beyond defamation,” Kelly declared.
But in other videos broadcast by Dr. Dhivya, Kelly was seen admitting to taking Xanax and showing off a “whole bottle” of Lorazepam, both of which are benzos.
“You can sue anybody. You can spend your money. And although good lawyers would tell you that you don’t have a case, don’t waste your time and money, you can find someone to take your money and just do your bidding,” the doctor continued.
She then showcased a screenshot of Kelly promoting her Patreon series, “The Rick and Kelly Show,” with husband Rick Leventhal, 66, but misspelling “Patreon” as “Pateron.”

At another moment from her Instagram post, Dr. Dhivya revealed a video of Kelly calling her a “fake” plastic surgeon, pointing out that she had “more degrees and credentials than letters in [her] name.”
“That could possibly be classified as defamation,” she noted. “[But] nobody’s gonna sue you for your three dollars and your fake Chanel earrings.”
Dr. Dhivya also suggested that Kelly was seeing the wrong specialist.
“If someone says something about you that’s true, and it challenges your inflated sense of self, your deep need for admiration, if it highlights your complete void of empathy for others, the word is not defamation, my friend. The word is narcissist,” she explained. “That is something that you don’t need a lawyer for, you need a therapist for. And no, I wouldn’t skip the doctor and go straight to the pharmacy, although you may like to.”

Following the sharing of the video, Tamra Judge, 58, offered a comment, confirming that she was amused by the doctor’s hijinks.

Kelly Dodd was featured on The Real Housewives of Orange County from season 11 to season 15.
