More news is being reported regarding the ongoing filming delay for The Real Housewives of Miami season 8.

The latest is news that certain housewives on the show are on the chopping block as the Bravo network is considering a casting shake-up for the upcoming season.

According to Page Six, Julia Lemigova and Guerdy Abraira are the two main housewives who are facing a potential firing ahead of the new season. Even more, a third housewife, who wasn’t named, is also said to be at risk of being fired — which the outlet reports would be a major surprise to fans of the show.

The biggest surprise of the article is that newbie Stephanie Shojaee, who by all accounts had a successful freshman season, is uncertain about returning to the show.

Another burning issue is Alexia Nepola whose ex-husband Todd Nepola famously sued Bravo last year for $11 million as he accused the network of defamation. Todd has since dismissed his lawsuit with prejudice, meaning the lawsuit cannot be re-filed, but things get tricky when by all appearances, Alexia seems to have reconciled with Todd

Still, sources insist this shouldn’t be an issue as production feels they can find ways to get around this.

Bravo also allegedly feels the RHOM underperformed at the most recent BravoCon in Las Vegas as they apparently didn’t have the most entertaining panel at the event.

And while some conversations have taken place regarding starting production on RHOM season 8 next month, nothing is set in stone as contracts have yet to go out to the ladies at this point in time.

Although some of the ladies on the series are said to be worried about the show and their future, insiders insist the show is NOT on pause and Bravo is definitely interested in another season but wants to make sure they get the casting right.
