Leida Margaretha and her estranged husband Eric Rosenbrook hired their own medical examiner to challenge the autopsy after their baby daughter Alisa‘s death was deemed “non-accidental.”
In July 2025, the 90 Day Fiancé stars’ daughter was taken off life support. In January, the outlet reported that Leida was facing 24 felony charges, which included six counts of wire fraud, seven counts of bail jumping, one count of stealing from a business (between $10,000 to $100,000), and 10 counts of forgery, per court docs. In July of last year, Eric was arrested for purportedly slapping Leida while intoxicated. At the time, he said they were no longer in a relationship.
According to TMZ, Alisa’s death is being regarded as “non-accidental.” Leida’s lawyer, Taylor Hart, confirmed this finding. The matter was initially assessed by the Adams County Health and Human Services Department. Per Starcasm, the assessment claimed there was “a preponderance of the evidence to substantiate maltreatment of physical abuse to the infant by the mother.”
But the investigation is ongoing, and no criminal charges were filed concerning the child’s passing. The manner of death and the official cause of death haven’t been finalized, and a full autopsy report is pending.
In the past, Leida denied all wrongdoing related to the baby’s tragic death.
TMZ also reported that Leida and Eric are challenging the autopsy, as they’ve hired their own medical examiner. Eric told the outlet that he doesn’t agree that the death was “non-accidental,” and their private medical examiner believes the initial autopsy was performed poorly.
He shared that the rib fracture, which was cited in the finding, could have occurred during efforts to perform CPR, as he noted that broken ribs can happen amid attempts to resuscitate. Eric also said that he and Leida went up against the Adams County Health and Human Services Department regarding their assessment, and that the sheriff’s department hasn’t found her at fault. The star also claimed that he asked the authorities to review more information months ago, but the Human Services Department was not interested in what he or Leida had to say.
According to Eric, the CPS is “the definition of fascism. … As far as CPS goes, they’re a hammer and every parent is a nail.”
Eric shared that they haven’t decided if they’ll try to have another child.
