Jennifer Tilly offered an update on her friendship with Garcelle Beauvais while appearing on Watch What Happens Live on Thursday.
While also reacting to Dorit Kemsley, 49, confronting Amanda Frances, 41, about her cult past, sharing her thoughts on Kathy Hilton, 66, warning Amanda to “read the room and know [her] place,” and commenting on Sutton Stracke‘s decision to room with Amanda in Italy, the 67-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “friend of” suggested that Amanda was “forcing” herself on the cast and revealed if Kyle Richards, 57, was stirring the pot when she told Sutton about the negative things she’d said about her.
On the March 12 episode of the WWHL: After Show, after being asked if she’d heard from Garcelle, 59, after suggesting her and Sutton’s falling out was the result of Sutton making everything about her, Jennifer confirmed she had not.
“She did not reach out to me. [But] I reached out to her after she walked out of the reunion, like a bunch of times,” Jennifer shared.
After noting that she “[loves]” Garcelle, Jennifer explained the interaction they’d had since the season 14 reunion.
“We had a little bit of conversation, but I haven’t seen her since then. We made an appointment to have lunch, but then she canceled, and then we had an appointment to have dinner, and then she canceled, and it was kind of like that book, like ‘He’s Just Not Really That Into You,’” she admitted. “After the third time, I thought, you know, she wants to move on. Let her have her piece.”
On the live broadcast of WWHL, Jennifer was questioned about Dorit bringing up the cult to Amanda on the latest RHOBH episode, and if she felt she’d done so to haze her.
“I believe Dorit did not bring it up in a friendly way, but I believe that Dorit has had it up to here. And she was sort of saying, ‘Well, what about you? Let’s hear something about you, Amanda,’” Jennifer reasoned.
Also of the latest episode, Jennifer reacted to Kathy telling Amanda to know her place.
“I was very shocked because Kathy is usually in Switzerland, and she said to me, ‘The greatest thing about being a friend of, you don’t have to get involved in the drama,'” she explained. “And sure enough, every time people start to yell, I look around, and she has disappeared in a poof of smoke like I Dream of Jeannie.”
As for Sutton offering to room with Amanda in Italy, Jennifer didn’t see it coming.
“I was really shocked because Sutton called me up. She goes, ‘Jennifer. Boz said we need to share a room.’ She said, ‘I said it’s not fair. We shared a room in St. Lucia. We shared a room in Sedona. And we shouldn’t always have to share a room just cuz we’re friends.’ And I said, ‘You know what, I agree,’ and I said, ‘If there’s 10 rooms and one of them has two beds, I guarantee you it’s the kids’ room, and there are gonna be twin beds.’ And also, I think she doesn’t like sharing a room with me cuz I’m very messy,” she stated.
Although Jennifer and Sutton went through a rough patch amid filming, Jennifer said that “overall,” her transition back into Sutton Brown “has been a success.”
“I think Sutton Brown is such a good idea because Sutton is really going out of her way to try and be a better person. And all the ladies are saying, ‘Well, we really like Sutton Brown. We like this Sutton Brown.’ Sutton Stracke and Sutton Brown are actually the same person, but Sutton Brown just thinks a little before she speaks,” she noted.
During a game in which she was asked to share how each of her castmates could up their game, Jennifer suggested that Amanda stop focusing on herself.
“She could ask other people questions about their lives and try to get to know the other girls instead of forcing them to get to know her,” she explained.
Commenting on how Sutton could elevate her dating life, she added, “She’s a shy retiring girl, as we all know. I think she needs to show off the goods when she goes on a date. A little cleavage here. Show a little bit of leg. Dab some pheromones behind her ear.”
Then, reflecting on her spat with Sutton, Jennifer joked, “Wait, I said that? I didn’t mean it. I didn’t know there was a camera. What camera?”
“We all make everything about ourselves once in a while. Even you, Andy Cohen, I’m sure,” she added.
Also on the WWHL: After Show, Jennifer was asked if she felt Kyle was trying to cause issues by telling Sutton what she said about her, or if she was attempting to get Sutton to understand that she was being too harsh.
“I don’t know. I think everybody in this group just loves to talk about stuff when they have like a little bit of additional information … So I think it was a little bit of that,” she replied.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
