Sources are claiming that Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was put on pause after drama erupted between Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, the father of her youngest child, amid season five filming.
On the latest season, Taylor shared that she was intimate with Dakota not long before she filmed as the lead for The Bachelorette. In one episode, her mom, Liann, implied that Taylor wants sympathy over her situation with Dakota, even though she’s still sleeping with him behind the scenes.
According to sources speaking to TMZ, production of SLOMW was put on pause unexpectedly because of a blowup between Taylor and Dakota. Insiders claimed that the drama between the exes erupted amid season five filming, and cameras therefore went down.
Though the reason for the fight is unknown, the situation got so intense that filming could not resume. As of now, the length of the ‘pause’ is also unknown, but the show is reportedly taking it seriously and with caution.
Taylor, Dakota, and SLOMW reps did not immediately respond to the outlet for a comment.
Around the same time, a blind item from Deuxmoi seemingly addressed the same situation.
“Reality Show in a Holding Pattern,” read the subject of the blind item. “This streamer has allegedly suddenly halted filming on a buzzy reality show after things got messy behind the scenes. According to insiders, several cast members are refusing to film while one of their co-stars is associated with a popular franchise.”
“The women allegedly believe that it will only fuel even more attention around the cast member of their show,” the source went on. “For now, production is on pause while the network figures out how to navigate the situation.”
After Taylor shared that she and Dakota recently hooked up again, her castmates began to question if their relationship is ‘toxic’ on both ends. Before this moment, most co-stars felt that all the blame was on Dakota.
In a matter of days, fans will watch Taylor as the next Bachelorette. It’s unclear how involved Dakota will be in the episodes, though the franchise is known for dragging in exes.
