Denise Richards went public with a facelift over the weekend.
Amid her messy split from her estranged husband, Aaron Phypers, 53, the 55-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star went under the knife for a new look, which she showed off in a series of Instagram posts.
“[Denise Richards] is one of the most lovely and beautiful people to ever walk this earth. It was an incredible pleasure and honor to be trusted with her restoration and more importantly, the preservation of her character and beauty,” Dr. Ben Talei wrote in the caption of a March 21 slideshow of Denise.
“Her stunning, gorgeous eyes were restored rather than changed or just cleaned up. Even her earlobes look better from all views. The sad or tired look around the eyes and mouth have been neutralized and reversed. Her neck and upper chest are glowing now,” he continued. “You can see that even the furrowing between her eyebrows has been relaxed. If you look at the smiling photos, you’ll see that even though the volume of the face was restored, the smile looks less cheeky.”
According to the plastic surgeon, he used the PHAT Skin technique, combined with muscle modulation and SMAS optimization, which is part of the AuraLyft deep plane facelift, to achieve Denise’s new look.
“This world of lifting hasn’t been described before. We are actually able to improve facial character while restoring the smile to be cleaner and more relaxed. I’m so grateful to Denise for being so open about the procedure. She’s been through so much this past year and her resilience is just astounding. She has a golden heart and her golden face is hers again,” he concluded.
“I am forever so grateful thank you … and deeply humbled by your unbelievably kind words,” Denise replied.
In Ben’s IG slideshow, a series of before-and-after photos of Denise was seen, including two images from the front.
Allure magazine also covered Denise’s plastic surgery transformation on its IG page, sharing that she had gone under the knife this past June.
“I could have gotten away with, ‘Oh, she looks so much better after her divorce’—or not, I don’t know. But I would want to know what other women are doing. It’s not just serums. It’s not just eating right and working out and doing all these lasers and stuff like that,” Denise admitted.

Also speaking to the magazine, after noting that a facelift wasn’t “something that [she] could hide” due to her decades of fame, Denise said that her oldest daughters, Sami Sheen, 22, and Lola Sheen, 20, whom she shares with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, 60, were “not happy” that she was doing it.
“They were telling me I didn’t need it. I was too young. But I think now they understand, and they see that I still look like me,” Denise explained.
She also noted that she appreciated that Dr. Ben had been sewing since he was a child.
“The morning of the surgery, my surgeon was talking about how he used to sew when he was a kid. I’m like, ‘That’s so great that you sew.’ And then … ‘Oh, wait a second. You’re going to be sewing my face. I hope you can sew!’” she proclaimed.
Denise also mentioned that she’d gone to a recovery center dedicated to plastic surgery after her facelift and said she was “grateful” for the procedure.
“If I’m able to feel good, and if it gives me confidence, I’m grateful that I did it. It’s changed my life in such a good way. I had no idea. I wish I did it earlier, but I’m grateful I did it when I did,” she stated.
