Liz McGraw is related to her husband, Gerry McGraw.
In a sneak peek at next Thursday’s premiere of the debut season of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Liz discusses her relationship with Gerry, admitting that after striking up a romance, she and her spouse, who own a cannabis company, learned that they were related.
“Gerry and I met at a bar. Gerry and I were married about six months, and that was when, you know, the whole Ancestry DNA thing was blowing up. I mean, if you look at Gerry and you look at me, no one’s ever gonna say we’re related, but we are related, somewhere down the line,” Liz explains in the preview clip, not sharing additional details about their relation.
As fans are introduced to Liz at her waterfront mansion in Cranston, Alicia Carmody says in a confessional that she’s known Liz since she was born.
“I remember her being, like, beautiful. She was older than me, but sometimes, Liz makes me nervous. She’s definitely a queen: Queen Elizabeth,” Alicia shares.
Meanwhile, at home with their cat, Ganji, the new Bravo star jokes about calling Gerry “Daddy” as she speaks about her stepdaughters.
“When I met Gerry, he told me he had three girls, and they were little. I was not prepared to be a mom. School, uniforms, hair, baths, lunches. I go to drive away, they’re like, ‘Ahh! Stop!’ Skyla’s not in the car yet. Skyla’s got one foot in the car,” she recalls in a confessional.
Liz also admits, “Everyone always says I’m blunt and I bite people’s heads off. And I get this a lot lately: I can be ‘scary.'”
