Stassi Schroeder weighed in on last week’s reveal of Amanda Batula‘s romance with West Wilson on Wednesday’s episode of her shared podcast with Taylor Strecker.
As she labeled Amanda, 34, “diabolical” for engaging in a relationship with West, 31, behind the back of her now-ex-bestie, Ciara Miller, 30, and said her behavior was “indefensible,” the 37-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum spotlighted how Amanda behaves around men and compared the Summer House drama to “Scandoval.”
“I’m friends with Amanda … I haven’t seen her in a very long time. But, like, I’ve always had a good relationship with her. I haven’t messaged her. This feels weird to talk about because we have been friendly for so many years. But also, she’s so wrong … It’s indefensible, and it’s disappointing,” Stassi began on the April 8 episode of STASSI With Tay, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram.
According to Stassi, she immediately friend-zones her friends’ partners. So, hearing that Amanda and West were involved caught her off guard.
“It’s diabolical,” she stated. “And seeing these videos of her and [Craig Conover] … I don’t care how tense a situation is at the table. I would never grab his f*cking hand and hold it.”
In addition to mentioning that Amanda had been caught holding Craig’s hand amid his since-ended relationship with Paige DeSorbo, 33, which she blamed on a stressful environment, Stassi said Amanda “hangs on dudes … [even] if they’re in a relationship.”
“She acts this way with men everywhere … She needs male attention really badly. She needs validation … and I think that is what led her to West,” she suspected, adding that there are certain women who thrive off getting the “pretty girl’s boyfriend or ex.”
“It does suck that this is all coming down on Amanda. But to me, the bigger betrayal is the friendship,” she continued. “It’s the girl on girl. It’s the girl betrayal … It’s when my friends can betray me … that hurts the most.”
As Pump Rules fans will recall, Stassi’s own former bestie, Kristen Doute, 43, hooked up with her ex-boyfriend, Jax Taylor, 46, years ago, and she was more upset with Kristen than Jax. Years later, an even bigger scandal erupted as Tom Sandoval, 43, was caught cheating on Ariana Madix, 40, with their friend and castmate, Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, 31.
Looking back at the fallout from the scandals, Stassi noted that the men seemed to be let off the hook while the women, including Amanda and Raquel, took the brunt of the online hate.
“This is so eerily similar to Scandoval,” she shared.
Despite feeling that Amanda was in the “wrong,” Stassi said that the backlash was a “sad” situation as she hoped the bullying of Amanda would die down.
“The bullying has been enough … People can only take so much online hate until they f*cking lose their minds. And it’s really dangerous … Let her carry on and live her life now. She’s got to go to the reunion … [and] she’s got to answer for everything,” she concluded.
