Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband Mauricio Umansky has exposed the direct message he sent to The Valley star Lala Kent in an attempt to prove he wasn’t being flirtatious with her.
The drama began when Lala spoke out on her Give Them Lala podcast, alleging that Mauricio had asked her to grab a coffee after she mentioned his separation from Kyle Richards.
“I don’t even know if I should be sharing this,” she shared. “It happened so long ago. I have to say, when I was doing the podcast with [Easton Burningham] and my old assistant, [Jessica Walter], I got the weirdest DM,” she recalled. “And I was talking about Kyle and Mau at this time, and this was like at the height of them not really knowing what they were doing. But I got a DM of him saying something along the lines of, you know, I talk about him on my podcast, and he would like to grab a coffee.”
Lala noted she decided not to answer him.
“I just never opened it or responded,” she claimed. “Like, there’s not a chance.”
TMZ obtained the direct message he sent her on February 24, 2024, and it said the following: “Hey Lala, how are you? Hey I am wondering since you seem to have an opinion and speculations about me as to whether I am a player or not I would like to talk to you.”
“Let me know if you are up for that. By phone or happy to get a coffee?” he added.
On May 12, TMZ caught up with Mauricio, and he spoke about the situation with Lala.
“Oh man, she’s such a f*cking liar, it’s not even funny, dude. Like, really? I was thinking about actually posting the post. But I’m gonna tell you, she’s a liar,” he said.
“I did message her because she was talking sh*t and I said, ‘Hey, you wanna talk sh*t about me, I’ll f*cking talk to you.’ And she said in the podcast she never opened the text,” he continued. “The last word on my text, and it’s a long text, says, ‘Let’s have coffee.’ And in her podcast, she says, ‘I invited you to have coffee.’ The only way that she knew that I invited her to have a coffee is if she would’ve opened the f*cking text.”
When speaking to TMZ, Mauricio said he wasn’t sure he would end up sharing the message publicly but may “decide to post it.”
“I don’t want to talk s*it about her, but that’s f*cking bullsh*t, man,” he added.
