In a past interview clip, podcaster Jason Lee seemingly confirmed that K. Michelle’s castmates were indeed asking questions about her before filming the Real Housewives of Atlanta. He specifically named Phaedra Parks, as he shared what he told her.
On a recent episode, Michelle said someone told her that Porsha Williams, Drew Sidora and Phaedra were trying to gather information about Michelle in an attempt to expose her. But the castmates quickly denied it, and their fans rushed to social media to call Michelle ‘crazy’ and ‘paranoid.’
Recently, a clip surfaced of Jason telling Michelle that castmates were calling him – and asking about her. Many fans are now questioning if Jason is the source who revealed that costars were plotting her takedown.
The interview was released on April 8, 2026.
“I started getting calls from people. Castmembers,” said Jason on The Jason Lee Show at the time, via @mrhousewives on Instagram.
“Yes,” said Michelle, unsurprised.
“[They were] saying, ‘Hey! How you doing?’ I’m like, ‘Good, how are you?’ They’re like, ‘Oh I’m good. … How’s the weather?'” he recalled. “[I asked], ‘What’s the purpose of this call?’ They were like, ‘K. Michelle.'”
Jason said he told them at the time that he knows Michelle “very well” – before castmates asked him “what do you think” about her being on the show. According to Jason, he told them that Michelle is “going to be great.”
Specifically, he named Phaedra as “one of the people that called.”
“I told Phaedra … ‘You and Michelle need to become best friends,'” he continued. “‘Cause you two falling out would be a nuclear war. I think Atlanta would disappear off the map of the earth.'”
Earlier this week on Virtual Reali-Tea, Michelle said she was worried about Porsha introducing her to the cast – because she likes to plot.
“That’s why I was already skeptical about even walking in [to the group] period,” she explained. “I know we have people that are brought into the show [through] this and that, but I was going to be on the show [with or] without [Porsha]. That wasn’t about you.”
“I actually wanted to be brought in by Angela, because we had started to form a relationship,” she went on. “When I was told [it would be] Porsha … [I thought], ‘I’m going to go in with an open mind, and I’m going to watch for myself the behavior.’ And the behavior is as I thought.”
