The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul had a judge rule in her favor in her custody battle with her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
“I’m encouraged, and I think we’re moving in the right direction,” a judge told Taylor during a virtual hearing on June 1 regarding her son, Ever, whom she shares with Dakota. “From now until the next hearing, I’m going to recommend supervision be lifted.”
The judge was referring to Taylor’s visits with her son having to be supervised, which they ruled no longer has to be the case.
They also said Taylor can have Ever on alternative weekends and one midweek day that’s not an overnight visit.
“We want that day to be consistent so we are on a set schedule,” the judge said.
The next hearing is set for July 8, and until then, the judge requested that Taylor and Dakota not make disparaging comments about each other, continue going to therapy, and remain 100 feet apart.
“I certainly think that both of them have a sense that they are the victims and not the perpetrators, and I get that,” they shared. “The main concern of the court is to prevent further acts of domestic violence, and we can have the hope that we see the parents being in the same place, getting along, but now is not that time.”
Prior to the hearing, Taylor shared on Instagram how tough the ordeal has been on her.
“I think all the projects and redoing is a fresh start but mainly a coping mechanism to distract from the fact my baby hasn’t been here for months now, aside visits,” she wrote.
Taylor also took to her Instagram Story to call out Dakota’s roommate, Cru Eaton, for how he’s acting toward her.
“In case I ever go missing, I don’t even know him,” she began. “This is who watches/lives with my child. He barely has custody of his own baby. This is sick.”
“And he watches me from another account,” she alleged.
She also showed what another woman alleged about Cru: “The type of horrible and dangerous person Cru is, is beyond reality drama/gossip. Happy to fill you in with anything you need, but he’s doing a great job digging his own grave.”

Taylor also shared something Cru wrote to her via a comment on a post of hers, showing he simply wrote “Luke 17:2.”
Taylor explained what that means, sharing a clip that said, “In Luke 17:2, Jesus warns that it would be better for a person to be drowned in the sea with a heavy millstone around their neck than to cause a ‘little one’ to stumble in their faith.”
