Teen Mom alum Ryan Edwards‘ new wife, Amanda Conner, was recently arrested after he called 911 on her.
She was charged with child abuse/neglect, driving on the wrong side of the road, and driving under the influence.
According to a new report from The Ashley’s, Amanda called 911 the day after her arrest and asked for help to get her stuff from the house she shared with Ryan.
She told the cops she was scared of Ryan as he became upset with her when she said their relationship was over. She also alleged he’d been violent with her in the past.
Specifically, during the call, Amanda claimed Ryan had a history of being “very abusive” to her and said she was scared to go unescorted to their home due to Ryan’s reaction when she said their marriage was done.
She also explicitly told the 911 operator she and Ryan were divorcing.
“I’m just requesting an officer to be here so I can get the things out of my house,” Amanda said. “Me and my husband are in the middle of a divorce, and he’s been abusive in the past, and I just don’t feel comfortable.”
She described some of the alleged abuse, stating, “I have pictures of me with black eyes… nose. I never reported it to the police because I just didn’t want him to go to jail that day. But, yes, I have evidence of him being very abusive.”
Amanda then explained she was nervous because of Ryan’s reaction that morning when she told him their marriage was done.
“I actually stayed the night here last night and I woke up and was like, ‘This is not going to work out’ and then he started yelling. Like, the look in his eye, I knew better so I grabbed my purse and went to the car,” she detailed.
She added Ryan was “probably in there destroying my s*it so if they could hurry, that would be nice.”
Amid the report about them getting divorced, Amanda took to social media to refute the allegations she was leaving Ryan.
“I just wanted to do a little update. I have to be quiet because it’s late and Ryan’s asleep. He’s got to get up for work in the morning,” Amanda began. “I have been seeing a lot of videos from my supporters and my following. Just sad that this has happened. You know, they’re praying for me. They hope the best for me, and I genuinely appreciate that. If you are in recovery, you know that relapse is a part of recovery and it happens to the best of us. I hate that I let y’all down. I’m very, very ashamed of myself.”
She noted there was “no need to mope in it” and “put our big girl panties on and move on.”
“I have a very dark sense of humor,” she continued. “I do not like feeling – I do not like being settled in my emotions at all, so I turn everything into laughter. I turn the worst things into a joke, which is probably not good up here, but it’s how I’ve always coped with things. And it’s not that I do not take things seriously, because I do. It’s just how I have learned to survive throughout my childhood and my life.”
“With that being said, yes, I’m taking my recovery very, very seriously. If I joke here and there, it’s just my sense of humor,” she elaborated.
Amanda then addressed the rumor about “what Ryan did” to her, calling it “bulls*it.”
“Please know, I am a little Tasmanian devil, okay?” she said. “So, that’s not – that’s just a rumor. Me and Ryan are fine. Um, that motherf*cker is stuck with me until he dies. We’re not getting a divorce. I don’t know where that came from.”
Amanda also shared that her court date was postponed and will now be in August.
