Eddy Hounsell and Jenna Woudberg revealed a surprising relationship update following season 4 of Below Deck Down Under – as they shared what happened between them.
Jenna and Eddy’s romance baffled many fans, given that he initially pursued stew Alesia Harris, who had a boyfriend. At one point, Eddy suggested in a drunken text that he would drop his flirtations with Jenna for a chance to be with Alesia.
What’s more, Jenna herself was flirty with chef Ben Robinson. In one scene, Eddy walked in on Jenna and Ben kissing in bed. However, despite their ups and downs, Jenna and Eddy ended the season on good terms with a hug.
On Below Deck Down Under After Show, Eddy and Jenna revealed what happened between them after the season ended.
“Eddy and I kissed after the show,” said Jenna, via BravoTV.com.
As for Eddy, though he didn’t share details, the deckhand admitted that he “happened to bump into her…it was nice. Went for some beers.”
But at some point after the kiss, their romance seemed to have taken a turn. Back in May, Eddy told BravoTV.com, “Jenna and I remain civil, and [I] hope for the best for her yachting [career].”
Later on Watch What Happens Live, Eddy explained, “After the season, Jenna and I had like a really big sit-down and discussed everything. … We really wanted to clear the whole air…I just said to her, ‘Please, just tell me everything that happened.’”
According to Eddy, he felt shocked when the season aired – as he pointed to the scene when Jenna and Ben kissed (and cuddled in bed together) in Ben’s room.
“She did not tell me that she had gone from his bed to my bed,” said Eddy in his WWHL interview. “I felt yuck actually watching that. And then she then didn’t message me after [it aired].”
But according to Jenna in a BravoTV.com interview in May, her kiss wasn’t that big of a deal. “It was just a friendly good morning peck!” she said. “I mean, [second officer] João was in the room too!”
“I enjoy a cuddle. I do. I’m a sucker for a good cuddle,” she added on the After Show. “It ain’t that serious. … I seek validation from men way too much. … Also, playing with people for your advantage is not right. So, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’m not a bad person. I’m also very dramatic, so take me with a pinch of salt.”
Also in May, Jenna shared that she and Chef Ben are “not in touch,” and she has “no feelings” for him.
