Hannah Berner recalled defending Paige DeSorbo against Summer House producers. The comedian also slammed a reality star who’s worse in person but gets a “good edit,” as fans believe she’s shading Amanda Batula.
On a past season of Summer House, Hannah feuded with Amanda and her husband Kyle Cooke. At the time, many fans sided with Amanda’s camp. But recently, viewers have turned on Amanda amid her controversial relationship with West Wilson, her best friend Ciara Miller’s ex.
“The second [I first] walked into Summer House, I actually remember someone being like … ‘We’re kinda worried about Paige, like she fell asleep the whole day, and we need her to bring it,” recalled Hannah on Giggly Squad, via @queensofbravo on Instagram.
“And I remember being a little defensive of you, and I didn’t even know you,” she said. “I remember being like, ‘She’s fine. She’s gonna be fine. Clearly she’s in REM sleep right now … Don’t f**king talk about my friend like that.'”
But Hannah admitted in the podcast that Paige slept “the entire dinner.”
On an episode of Hot Ones Versus, Hannah was asked to name one reality star who is “worse in person than on TV.”
“All I would say is normally [this person doesn’t] get the villain edit. They get the good edit,” Hannah answered, winking at the camera.
“That was good,” Paige responded, nodding. “That was good!”
Fans then reacted in the comments.
“We all knew she meant Amanda then & we now know that @hannahberner wasn’t wrong [about her on Summer House] … she was just early,” said one user.
“Finally Hannah is vindicated. Always team Hannah,” wrote another.
“We love everything you’re not saying,” expressed a third.
“Exceptional way to answer Amanda,” said a different fan.
In the past, Hannah has suggested that she was fired from Summer House for going against Amanda and Kyle. Earlier this year, the couple announced their separation about two months before Amanda confirmed her romance with West.
