Daisy Toye is set to make her debut on the upcoming 16th season of The Real Housewives of New York City.
While it seemed like her being Martha Stewart‘s makeup artist for the past two decades would be a unique feature about her, a new report has alleged it caused issues for her.
Specifically, TMZ detailed that some friends thought she wanted to trade her job with Martha to get famous, which rubbed some people the wrong way during RHONY production.
Sources claimed that Daisy wanted to start a new career by being featured on RHONY, allegedly hoping she could then stop working with Martha.
Insiders noted Sai De Silva, who knew Daisy for years prior to them being on RHONY together, was a major critic of Daisy and took her to task. Sai allegedly stated that Daisy had an elitist attitude and was not a supportive friend as Sai navigated her ongoing divorce from husband David Craig.
Sai supposedly thought Daisy’s behavior was “gross” and went at her hard while taping the show.
The cast also allegedly asked Daisy if she was in Martha’s will during taping, and one insider noted what happened was “not a good thing.”
As Reality Blurb reported earlier this year, Martha is said to have filmed for RHONY.
Daisy was not the only one Sai supposedly got into it with while taping, as a recent report noted she also called out Carole Radziwill, who is returning to RHONY in a “friend of” role, over her ties to the Epstein files.
Sources close to production told TMZ on June 17 that Sai and Carole were at odds throughout the season after Sai questioned her involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. Sai supposedly did this because she has young children.
Carole previously spoke to The New York Times about her relationship with Ghislaine.
“Imagine knowing someone… and then they turn out to be, like, a monster,” she said
After Ghislaine referred to Carole in the Epstein files as one of her “closest friends,” Carole insisted on X that she only knew her socially.
“Sure rich men, creepy people… obvs the men who were involved knew…I’m saying the social party friends especially us girls — we didn’t know. When people are doing bad sh*t they hide it well. It’s f*cking creepy,” she stated.
